Project Engineers urgently required to work for a world leading specialist manufacturing organisation near Eastleigh. We are looking for hands on Project Engineers who have a history of the engineering/ manufacturing sectors. We are looking for someone who is used to working to the highest standards, work with production teams and engineering to deliver first class solutions for a range of industries.
You will be from an Engineering background where you will be part of the projects team looking after multiple ongoing projects, ensuring customers are happy and all criteria are met. You will be offering technical support, issue resolution, Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions. Alongside this building the customer relationships, identifying potential issues and helping resolve.
Responsibilities
- Interact daily with project team members, internally and externally, to ensure timely progress of engineering projects.
- Work with Production Engineering to load projects to ERP system.
- Work with Procurement to resolve exception reports created by ERP system.
- Work with Production and Warehouse to manage material deliveries to Manufacturing.
- Work with Engineering to resolve engineering issues and Project Management to report status of projects.
- Work with Technical Product Managers to collate technical documentation for final safety sign off of equipment.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
- Resolving any problems with the team, plans and budget to ensure that the project flows smoothly.
- Identifying potential problems with the project, leading the team into developing solutions and ensuring that they are implemented.
- Hosting meetings to track and drive progress of projects.
- Build, develop and maintain relationships within the project team.
- Working with third-party contractors/suppliers to develop viable time scales and working practices.
- Manage project schedules in conjunction with the Project Manager.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Degree in Engineering or experience in relevant engineering fields (Mechanical / Electrical)
- Production or Engineering experience
- Experience in Project Engineering
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, translate product drawings into actionable process information and develop design ideas and plans successfully
- Understanding of design and visualisation software.
- Excellent analytical and judgement skills.
- Work autonomously with the ability to set and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build morale among the teams and drive projects through the business.
- Excellent understanding of customer expectations and deliverables and the desire to produce good quality products.
