We are currently looking for an experienced Wiring & Assembly Technicians to join a forward-thinking engineering company whose projects regularly involve genuinely novel technology. Working alongside the engineering and production teams at a modern facility, you will play a key role in the build and assembly of complex electrical and electro-mechanical systems, with the opportunity to develop your skills on products that are unlike anything else on the market.

Duties to include:

Carrying out high-quality wiring and assembly of complex electro mechanical systems and equipment.Wiring and crimping of cables, looms and harnesses.Undertaking detailed electro-mechanical assembly and integration of components, sub-assemblies and systems in accordance with drawings, build instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings and technical documentation.Carrying out point-to-point wiring and panel assembly to a consistently high standard.Completing travellers, inspection records and other build documentation accurately and maintaining full traceability.Performing visual and electrical checks on completed work, including buddy checks, to ensure assemblies meet the required quality standards.Supporting the engineering team with fault finding, testing and problem-solving during assembly and integration.Identifying build issues, wiring errors or component problems and working collaboratively with engineering to resolve them.Supporting servicing, modification and rework activities on returned or existing systems where required.

Required Experience:

Strong experience in electrical wiring, wiring harness assembly and electro-mechanical assembly within an engineering or manufacturing environment.Excellent practical wiring and termination skills, including crimping, ferrule terminations, connectors and point-to-point wiring.Strong ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, engineering drawings and build documentation.Experience working confidently with a wide range of cable types, sizes, connectors and electrical components.Excellent electro-mechanical skills, with the ability to assemble, integrate and troubleshoot complex systems.A high level of precision and attention to detail, with a strong right-first-time approach to quality.The ability to work independently from technical documentation while also collaborating effectively with engineering and production teams.A thorough understanding of safe working practices and quality requirements within an engineering environment.A proactive approach to fault finding and problem-solving, with the ability to identify and resolve issues during builds.A strong work ethic and proven ability to deliver high-quality work to deadlines.Good communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across engineering and production.Experience working on complex electrical, electronic or electro-mechanical equipment would be highly advantageous.
