We are seeking an experienced Lead / Principal Electronics Engineer to join a growing hardware engineering team working on the development of cutting-edge electronic products. What You'll Be Doing

The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of production through both reactive and planned maintenance across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
Reactive and planned maintenance across process machinery so much more interesting work
Working with more complex machinery
Electrical and/or mechanical fault finding and repairs
Supporting continuous improvement and project work
Maintaining automated machinery
Working with pumps, motors, gearboxes, and related equipment
Minimising downtime and maximising machine performance

Maintenance Technician - Automated Warehouse
Shift Pattern: Rotating double days, Monday-Friday
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join a team working within a fully automated warehouse environment. The site uses a range of automated material handling equipment, including conveyors, lifters, cranes and monorail systems.
You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and supporting the equipment on site, helping to keep the automated system running safely and efficiently.
The role operates on a rotating double-day shift pattern of 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday:
06:00-14:0014:00-22:00You will also be required to work one Saturday in every four, from 06:00-14:00. When working the Saturday, the preceding Monday will be taken as a day off.
The role involves working at heights of up to 32 metres, so you must be comfortable working at height.
Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned servicing and maintenance of automated material handling equipment in line with equipment manuals and quality standards.Complete scheduled repairs in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and industry practices.Respond to and prioritise system faults to minimise equipment downtime.Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.Fault-find and diagnose issues across mechanical, electrical and electronic systems.Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work undertaken.Support the efficient flow of products through the automated system by planning and coordinating maintenance activities effectively.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and contribute to site improvement activities.Monitor on-site spare parts and help maintain appropriate stock levels.Follow all Health & Safety, quality and company procedures.Maintain professional working relationships with customers and other site stakeholders.Ensure work is carried out with customer requirements and service levels in mind.Experience RequiredExperience working with automated systems or material handling equipment.Experience with equipment such as cranes, pallet conveyors and automatic stretch wrappers would be beneficial.Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical and electronic drawings and technical manuals.Good understanding of PLC systems, with the ability to fault-find to I/O level.Understanding of planned preventative maintenance (PPM).Experience using CMMS software for maintenance scheduling, fault logging and reporting.Good IT skills, including Microsoft Teams, Word and Excel.A multi-skilled background would be ideal, although candidates with a strong electrical or mechanical bias will also be considered.QualificationsTime-served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent.Minimum NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in an engineering discipline, or equivalent.ONC/HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering would be advantageous.Benefits25 days annual leaveCompany pension schemePrivate healthcareCycle to Work scheme
