Proactive are currently recruiting for a Workshop Assembler to join a well-established engineering manufacturer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building, assembling and testing specialist electro-mechanical products, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and meets customer quality requirements.
Responsibilities:
Assemble mechanical and electro-mechanical products from initial build through to final inspection.Follow engineering drawings, assembly instructions and technical documentation to complete builds accurately.Use a range of hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Complete production records, inspection documents and testing paperwork accurately.Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.Work closely with production and engineering teams to achieve daily targets.Skills:
Previous experience within mechanical, electrical or electro-mechanical assembly.Ability to understand and follow technical drawings and wiring diagrams.Comfortable using hand tools, power tools and basic electrical test equipment.Strong attention to detail with a quality-focused approach.

Proactive are currently in search of a Multi-Skilled Electrical Technician to start work for a company based in Cambridge. You will be responsible for providing build and test support for the development and production of cutting-edge systems using your mechanical and electrical knowledge. This role will involve extensive overseas travel to install machines on client sites.
Main Responsibilities:
Reading & interpreting technical drawings.Wiring- flagging issues with supplier & internal quality.Testing and fault finding.Electrical Installation Take ownership and responsibility to ensure that the build process whilst maintaining a high-quality standard.Undertake electrical/functional testing of systems prior to the system being released.Support the testing and commissioning of systems.Develop and improve all aspects of the build process including standardisation of build and test methods to ensure highest product quality.Specify and maintain tools and equipment.Knowledge and Experience:
Essential:

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineering Delivery Manager to take ownership of automation projects from design handover through to full delivery. This role will oversee detailed engineering, manufacturing drawings, and procurement coordination to ensure automated warehouse systems, including conveyors, shuttles, and material handling equipment, are delivered on time, to specification, and with the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership of automation projects following the concept and initial design phase.
Manage and coordinate the completion of detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings.
Review and verify engineering documentation, BOMs, layouts, and technical specifications.
Work closely with internal teams including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and operations to ensure project milestones are met.
Monitor manufacturing progress and proactively resolve engineering, technical, or supply chain issues.
Ensure all automation systems are delivered in accordance with quality, safety, and client requirements.
Drive continuous improvement in engineering release processes, documentation standards, and delivery execution.
Experience & Skills Required:
5-10 years' experience in automation, warehouse automation, or intralogistics systems.
Experience with MDS shuttles, conveyors, and PLC-controlled systems is desirable training can be provided if needed.
Strong knowledge of engineering and manufacturing drawings proficient in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary engineering and delivery teams.
Knowledge of functional safety systems, risk assessments, and compliance standards.
