The employer specialises in the warehouse automation and material handling industry and is supporting multiple large-scale conveyor installation and warehouse automation projects across the United States. They are recognised for delivering complex conveyor, sortation, and material handling solutions for leading distribution, e-commerce, and parcel handling facilities, offering contractors the opportunity to work on high-profile projects nationwide.


They have an exciting opportunity for experienced Mechanical Installers and Mechanical Technicians to join their Field Operations team. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on installation work, travelling to customer sites, and working on large-scale warehouse automation and conveyor system installations.


This position forms part of the Field Operations team and supports the installation, assembly, and mechanical completion of conveyor and material handling systems at customer sites throughout the United States.


Responsibilities

Install mechanical conveyor and material handling equipment at customer sites.Assemble, align, and mechanically install conveyor systems.Install structural steel, platforms, walkways, guarding, and associated mechanical equipment.Read and interpret mechanical installation drawings, layouts, and bolt schedules.Perform equipment alignment, mechanical adjustments, and final installation checks.Support commissioning teams following mechanical completion.Follow OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and site safety requirements.Work collaboratively with project managers, supervisors, and commissioning teams to meet installation schedules.Travel extensively to project sites throughout the United States.


Requirements

Previous experience installing conveyor systems or material handling equipment.Experience reading mechanical drawings and installation documentation.Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.Experience aligning and adjusting conveyor equipment.Comfortable working at heights when required.Experience working within warehouse automation, parcel handling, manufacturing, or industrial construction projects.OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.Experience following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.Ability and willingness to travel 100% throughout the United States.Legally authorised to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a leading warehouse automation integrator on a contract-to-hire basis.
This is a key leadership position responsible for managing the construction and installation phases of large-scale automated material handling projects across the United States. You will provide on-site leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while acting as the primary site representative between the customer, subcontractors, engineering teams, and project management.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates with extensive experience managing warehouse automation, conveyor, AS/RS, robotics, or material handling installations within a systems integration environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day site leadership throughout installation and construction activities
* Coordinate mechanical and electrical installation teams to ensure successful project delivery
* Ensure projects are installed in accordance with contractual requirements and engineering specifications
* Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all site activities
* Manage site quality, schedule, subcontractors, and installation progress
* Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineering, Customers, Contractors, and third-party suppliers
* Monitor site productivity, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues
* Support commissioning, system testing, punch list completion, and project handover
* Produce site reports and maintain project documentation throughout the installation lifecycle
What Were Looking For
* Minimum 5 years experience as a Site Manager or Installation Manager within automated material handling or warehouse automation
* 6+ years experience within the construction or industrial installation sector
* Strong background delivering conveyor, AS/RS, AutoStore, robotics, or sortation projects
* Proven leadership experience managing installation teams and subcontractors
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to work extended hours and travel extensively across customer sites
* Strong understanding of construction safety and quality standards

Job Summary: As the Controls Engineering Technician, you will assist in the testing, evaluation, and specification of new or existing company products. Individuals in this position are comfortable working virtually in a CAD, Drawing, or ERP environment as well as with their hands in a testing or production environment. Controls Engineering Technicians are expected to be capable of working independently to accomplish many tasks and often take technical direction from Controls Engineers and managers alike. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Write, debug, or modify PLC, HMI, PC and other control programs using various software
* Create bills of material and routings for use in cost estimates and manufacturing
* Create owner's manuals, test procedures, and other engineering deliverables as required
* Provide technical support to shop personnel during manufacturing
* Provide field support of Company products as required
* Conduct testing and evaluation of both new products and production products as needed
* Develop, document, and conduct training for testing protocols suitable for production environments

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Manufacturing Support
* Collaborate with manufacturing and integration teams to support control panel assembly, wiring, component placement, and testing during production.
* Provide hands-on engineering support for new product introductions and design updates, including resolving technical questions related to BOMs, routings, and assembly instructions.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
* This position has no direct reports.

Travel Demands:
* Typically 15% or less, however can be more during times of intense field support.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
* Working knowledge of NFPA 70, National Electric Code, and NFPA 79, Electrical Standard for Industrial Machinery
* Ability to troubleshoot electrical control circuits
* Proficient with AutoCAD, Electrical

5-15+ years of experience in electrical installation, industrial automation, heavy industrial, or warehouse automation environments.Prior experience with conveyors, sorters, AS/RS, robotics, or large automated warehouse systems.Experience as an Electrical Supervisor, Superintendent, Lead Electrician or Foreman.Strong understanding of MCC's, switch-gear, VFD's, controls and industrial power distribution.Ability to manage crews of 10-50+ electricians and subcontractors.Strong documentation and communication skills.Willingness to travel for extended project duration.


Preferred Qualifications

Journeyman or Master Electrician License (any U.S. state)OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, LOTO certificationsExperience working with automation integrators (Dematic, Vanderlande, Honeywell Intelligrated, Swisslog, Daifuku, TGW, KNAPP, Fives, Murata, etc.)Experience with commissioning, FAT/SAT, or electrical QA/QC
