Proactive are currently in search of multiple skilled Electrical Technicians to start work immediately for a client of ours in Cambridge. This is an exciting opportunity working for a world leading manufacturing company, offing ample opportunity for career progression and development.
The purpose of this role will be to ensure products meet the required safety and quality standards, technicians are responsible for assembling mechanical or electrical assemblies / Machines. This involves using various hand tools, manufacturing aids, systems, commissioning, and processes to adhere to the current production schedule.
Principal Responsibilities
To lead by example in ensuring at all times safe systems of work and thorough due process.Read, comprehend, interpret, and follow engineering drawings, schematics, and electrical code specifications to assemble the equipment.Troubleshoot mechanical assemblies and electrical circuits and electrical/mechanical assemblies.To test and maintain products on behalf of R&D from time to time proving feedback to help develop and improve new and existing product range.To install products on customer sites with Installation Teams from time to time, providing technical assistance to Customer Support DepartmentTo become familiar with, uphold and adhere to, the Company and Parent Company processes, policies and procedures.Commissioning of products to the required safety and quality standards, undertaking testing and adjustments and completing the signing off processes.Knowledge and Experience
Level 3 Electrical Engineering, 18th Edition and ideally higher level Electrical Engineering plus the required technical knowledge and practical experience to support the qualificationElectrical commissioning experienceExperience working with PLC systems, preferably BeckhoffBroad base of engineering skills, electrical, mechanical and electronicIdeally qualified in low voltage applications including fault findingCompetent IT skills including Microsoft Office, Word and ExcelHow to Apply:

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Manufacturing Technician located in Waterbeach. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for executing manufacturing processes (written, verbal and using e-drawings), working within a small team as well as independently, maintaining their workspace, ensuring work is carried out to meet our quality standards, troubleshooting, and communicating effectively with colleagues and management.
Requirements/Experience
Experience in electro-mechanical build.Experience with surface mount PCB assemblyTroubleshooting skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalExperience in Manufacturing Processes and techniquesAbility to follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, e-drawings and work under pressureWiring and cable assembly experienceIT literateThe ability to adapt to flexible work priorities and multitask.Experience with NPI and prototyping builds.How to Apply:
