Machine Cleaner Required to work manufacturing company based in Flitwick.

Cleaning and routine lubrication of machines and ancillary equipmentMonitoring and updating of Housekeeping sheets.Routine cleaning of vacuum dust extraction units.Monitoring of oil levels in moulding machines and, where required, adding additional oil to the machines.Monitoring and cleaning of hopper loader filters on blenders and moulding machines.Monitoring and reporting of damage / ware on machines and ancillary equipment.Completion of Preventative Maintenance audits and reports to technical team.Floor cleaning and general cleaning in and around shop floor area.Any other task deemed reasonable for the role.

Hours: 8am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday

Pay: £12.66

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out thorough cleaning of factory production areas, including machinery exteriors, floors, walls, and work surfacesUse cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly, following COSHH guidelinesEmpty bins, remove waste, and ensure disposal procedures are followedReplenish hygiene and cleaning supplies as neededWork to cleaning schedules and complete records/checklists accuratelyAdhere to all health and safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE

Working Hours:

Day shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM10-hour shifts, offering a consistent weekday schedule

Candidate Requirements:

Previous cleaning experience in an industrial, factory, or warehouse environment preferredGood attention to detail and the ability to work independentlyPhysically fit and comfortable with manual tasks and prolonged standingReliable, punctual, and proactive in maintaining cleanliness standardsMust be comfortable working around production machinery (no direct machine operation involved)

About the Role:
Proactive Recruitment is currently hiring reliable and hardworking Production Operators for a leading manufacturing facility based in Flitwick. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure long-term, stable work with the potential for a permanent position.

Working Hours: Days and Nightshifts available

Day Shifts - 08:00- 20:00 (rotating/shifts alternate weekly)

Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday
Week 2 - Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday

Rate: £14.66-£16.00 per hour

Nightshift: Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM

12-hour shifts, 4 nights per week

Rate: £15.18-£16.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

Operate production machinery in a safe and efficient mannerConduct routine quality checks on productsPack and prepare products for dispatch according to specificationsMaintain cleanliness and organisation on the production floorFollow all company health & safety policies and proceduresCommunicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues

Candidate Requirements:

Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is beneficial but not essential - full training will be providedStrong attention to detail and ability to follow processes accuratelyPhysically fit and capable of standing for extended periodsGood communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitudePunctual and dependable
