The Opportunity

An award-winning manufacturer is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team at a highly automated production facility just south of Leeds.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer looking to work on some of the site's most critical production equipment. You'll be responsible for maintaining and improving the machinery that controls production across the factory, working on advanced systems, complex components, and technically challenging equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The business has an excellent reputation for developing its engineers and offers genuine opportunities to progress into Engineering Leadership or Continuous Improvement (CI) positions. Alongside career progression, the company invests heavily in training and development, including electrical, automation, and advanced engineering courses.

Working a 4 on 4 off days-only shift pattern, you'll join a stable engineering team within a business that continues to invest in both its technology and its people.

ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across production machineryDiagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faultsRespond quickly to breakdowns and minimise downtimeSupport continuous improvement and reliability projectsConduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring failuresMaintain production-critical equipment to maximise efficiencyWork closely with production teams to ensure optimal machine performanceSupport engineering projects and equipment upgradesEnsure all maintenance activities are completed in line with Health & Safety requirementsSkills & ExperiencePrevious experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environmentStrong background maintaining automated or process machineryMulti-Skilled Engineer preferred with both electrical and mechanical experienceExcellent fault-finding and problem-solving skillsExperience working on production machinery within a factory environment is essentialPositive attitude with a proactive, can-do approachEngineering qualification such as NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship, City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent beneficial
