The Role

About You
We are looking for a Machine Minder with:
Some mechanical experience or good with DIY, and can use of basic hand tools
Experience using basic mechanical tools (allen keys, drill for unscrewing and screwing)
The ability to follow instructions and work methodically.
A good understanding of health and safety when working around machinery.
The ability to work as part of a team.
Formal engineering qualifications are desirable but not essential if you have some experience of mechanical experience this will be good.

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer Assistant to join an award-winning manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer Assistant with hands-on mechanical experience who is looking to develop their engineering skills within a modern manufacturing environment.
As a Maintenance Engineer Assistant, you will provide practical support to the Maintenance Engineers, helping to reduce their workload and ensuring machinery is prepared for servicing and maintenance efficiently.
The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Maintenance Engineers with day-to-day engineering activities.Taking machinery and mechanical equipment apart ready for servicing and maintenance.Reassembling machinery correctly once servicing or maintenance work has been completed.Preparing equipment for planned maintenance activities.Carrying out basic mechanical maintenance and adjustments.Working safely around industrial machinery and following site procedures.Keeping equipment, tools and work areas clean and organised.About You
We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer Assistant with:
Previous hands-on mechanical experience, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial or engineering environment.Good practical/mechanical aptitude.Experience using basic mechanical tools.Confidence taking machinery apart and putting it back together correctly.The ability to follow instructions and work methodically.A good understanding of health and safety when working around machinery.A willingness to learn and develop engineering skills.The ability to work as part of a team.Formal engineering qualifications are desirable but not essential if you have good practical mechanical experience.

The Role:
We are urgently seeking an experienced Site Manager for a major project at Heathrow Airport.
The successful candidate must have previous airport experience, specifically within baggage handling and conveyor systems. You will be responsible for managing site activities, installation works and site teams within a live airport environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day site activities and installation works.
Oversee baggage handling and conveyor system installation.
Manage site teams, subcontractors and installation contractors.
Coordinate mechanical installation and conveyor works.
Ensure works are completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
Monitor project progress and report on site performance.
Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, clients and subcontractors.
Coordinate works within a live airport environment.
Ensure compliance with airport security, health & safety and site procedures.
Lead site meetings, toolbox talks and progress reviews.
Identify and resolve site issues quickly and effectively.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager / Site Supervisor.
Previous airport experience - ESSENTIAL.
Baggage handling systems experience - ESSENTIAL.
Conveyor installation experience - ESSENTIAL.
Experience managing mechanical/conveyor installation teams.
Experience working within a live airport environment.
Strong understanding of site health & safety requirements.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple contractors and site activities.
Valid UK right to work.
Ability to obtain the required Heathrow security clearance.
Desirable
Experience with airport baggage handling systems.
Experience with automated conveyor systems.
Experience on major airport infrastructure projects.
SMSTS or equivalent site management qualification.
CSCS or relevant site certification.
