Assembly Operatives Urgently required to work for a specialist Engineering organisation based in Redhill, we are looking for a highly motivated individuals who want to work on cutting edge machinery for a specialist organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Assemble the specialized range of products in strict accordance with company build procedures and quality standards.Utilising hand tools to build machineryWorking to build sheets or engineering drawingsAssist with the calibration of completed products using specialized equipment, accurately recording serial numbers, production data, and test records.Perform incoming parts inspections to ensure quality control, and kit parts from production orders for sub-assemblies.Pack finished products to fulfill customer orders, ensuring items are securely readied for on-time shipping.Utilize the company ERP system to maintain accurate production files and ensure the workflow runs smoothly.

Education/Qualifications:

NVQ, HNC, HND, or an apprenticeship in Mechanical/Electronic Engineering (or a relevant technical discipline).Product assembly training in a stringent manufacturing environment is highly desirable.Strong practical skills with the ability to read and interpret engineering/general assembly drawings. EExperienced in using small hand tools and precision measuring equipment (e.g., micrometers, verniers).Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a flexible, team-oriented attitude.A personal interest or hobby in 3D printing, RC models, or DIY mechanics fits perfectly with the culture of this team.

A global manufacturing business located in Salfords, Redhill specialising in the design, manufacture and supply of a range of static tension and/or compression testing machines, including specialist grips, fixtures and applications are seeking a Mechanical Fitter.

Salary: £28-£30k based on experience

Working hours: Mon - Thurs 8.00 - 16.30, Fri - 8.00 - 16:00

As a Mechanical Fitter you will:

Mechanically assemble and build material testing machines, mechanical and pneumatic grips and other precise instruments, mechanically fitting parts including wiring looms and electronic looms and electronic displays.Complete paperwork i.e. works orders etc.Assist in annual stock count.Ensure targets are met.Ensure parts are collated, fitted and adapted where necessary to equipment ready for testing.Report to Supervisor any changes to drawings to ensure full records are kept.Monitor and check quality assurance of products being checked.

We are looking for:

Apprentice trained time served, NVQ /HNC / HND / in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant discipline.Close tolerance assembly skills Competent with machine shop precision measuring equipment i.e. micrometres and verniers.Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, general assembly drawings and geometric tolerances.Able to operate a variety of hand and machine tools.
