We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join an established, world-class manufacturing company in Leeds. Working at a modern site with a high level of automation, this role offers the chance to tackle a broad range of engineering challenges and work on sophisticated production equipment.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability and efficiency of production equipment across the site. The position combines planned preventative maintenance with hands-on fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs, giving you the opportunity to work across a varied range of machinery and engineering systems.

Key Responsibilities

Completing PPM schedules and carrying out reactive maintenance to keep production equipment operating efficientlyInvestigating machinery faults and carrying out effective electrical and/or mechanical repairsWorking on complex automated production lines and process equipmentMaintaining and repairing pumps, motors, gearboxes and other mechanical componentsResponding to breakdowns, identifying root causes and implementing lasting solutionsContributing to engineering projects, equipment upgrades and continuous improvement activitiesLooking for ways to improve machinery reliability, reduce downtime and increase production efficiency

Requirements

Recognised engineering qualification, such as City & Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent qualificationPrevious experience as a Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing, production or a process-based environmentElectrical or mechanical engineering and multi-skilled Maintenance EngineersPractical experience maintaining and fault-finding on automated machineryConfident diagnosing technical problems and carrying out effective repairsA proactive approach to maintenance, with a focus on equipment reliability and minimising production disruption
