Position: Plastic Vacuum Forming Technician
Location: Sudbury, Suffolk
Proactive are currently recruiting for a Plastic Vacuum Forming Technician to join a well-established manufacturing business.
As a Plastic Vacuum Forming Technician, you will play an important role within the production team, manufacturing high-quality plastic components using vacuum forming machinery. You will be responsible for ensuring products are produced efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and set up vacuum forming machinery for daily production requirementsSelect and load the correct materials, tooling, and moulds for each production runMonitor machine performance throughout the manufacturing process, making adjustments where necessary to achieve consistent resultsComplete in-process quality checks to ensure products meet customer specificationsIdentify production issues and report or resolve minor equipment faults where appropriateCarry out routine housekeeping and basic preventative maintenance on machinery and work areasAccurately complete production documentation and quality recordsSkills:
Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environmentExperience operating vacuum forming machinery or similar production equipment is advantageousGood practical skills with the ability to use hand and power tools safelyStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality productsAbility to follow work instructions, technical specifications, and production proceduresReliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a teamFlexible approach to supporting different production areas when requiredHow to Apply:

Key Duties:
Assemble electrical products and lighting units in line with production requirements. Follow assembly instructions, wiring diagrams and technical documentation. Carry out basic electrical wiring and fit components accurately. Use a range of hand tools and assembly equipment safely and effectively. Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company quality standards. Maintain a clean and safe workstation at all times. Work closely with colleagues to meet daily production schedules and targetsSkills:
Previous experience in assembly, manufacturing or electrical production is beneficial. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams or basic technical drawings.
