Role: Driver
Location: Sudbury, Suffolk
Join a busy and well-established manufacturer in Sudbury as a Driver & Counterbalance Forklift Operative, supporting warehouse and delivery operations. This is a hands-on role involving local deliveries, forklift operation, stock movement, and general warehouse duties within a fast-paced and supportive environment.
Duties:
Driving company vans for local deliveries and collections Operating a Counterbalance Forklift safely and efficiently Loading and unloading deliveries and stock Moving materials and products around the warehouse and production areas Carrying out daily vehicle and forklift safety checks Assisting with goods-in and dispatch activities Picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment Maintaining accurate delivery and stock records Ensuring the warehouse and work areas are kept clean and organised Working as part of a team to meet daily operational targetsSkills:
Previous van driving and Counterbalance Forklift experience is essential Valid Counterbalance Forklift licenceFull UK driving licence required Good understanding of warehouse and logistics operations Ability to work safely and follow company procedures Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Proactive are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative in Sudbury to start work immediately. This is a temporary ongoing position with the potential to become permanent, offering a great opportunity to join a busy and well-established manufacturer producing high-quality lighting products.
As an Assembly Operative, you'll be a key part of the production team, working with wiring, components, and hand tools in a clean and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Building and assembling light fittings and electrical components to required specificationsInterpreting and working from wiring diagrams and assembly instructionsOperating hand and power tools in a safe and efficient mannerCompleting basic wiring and component connectionsPerforming visual inspections to ensure product quality standards are metKeeping the work area clean, tidy, and well-organisedCollaborating with the team to achieve daily production targetsRequirements:
Previous experience in electrical assembly or a production environment is advantageousAbility to understand and follow wiring diagrams or technical drawingsComfortable using hand tools and handling small componentsHigh level of attention to detail with a focus on qualityDependable, punctual, and a strong team playerWillingness to learn with a positive and proactive attitude
