THE ENGINEERING CHALLENGEPerform maintenance tasks, including preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance on automated machineryPerforming continuous improvement activities on automated equipment Provide effective and efficient support to the Engineering Team, Maintenance Team Leader and, completion of end of shift reports, fault logging and data entryIdentify the root cause of automation breakdowns and prioritize corrective actions to meet operational processing requirementsMonitor equipment performance and improve automation outputs in collaboration with operational stakeholdersIdentifying and working on Continuous Improvement projects, conception to implementation, for machinery in the distribution facilityAbility to work on own initiative and as part of a team to achieve common goalsWorking rotating shift pattern across early, lates and nightsTechnical Excellence
Oversee automated systems including ASRS and AMR (Autonomous Mobile Robotics) technologyImplement maintenance strategies to maximise operational efficiencyPreventative maintenance operations while minimising equipment downtimeWhat You'll Bring
Essential Experience
Electrical OR mechanical engineering qualifications (minimum Engineering/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)Hands-on experience maintaining automation equipmentStrong understanding of Health & Safety legislationAbility to communicate technical concepts clearlyAdaptability and the confidence to work both independently and as part of a teamTechnical Skills

Role Overview:
We are looking for skilled and detail-oriented Cable Harness Technicians who will be responsible for assembling, testing, and maintaining cable harnesses for electronic systems. This position requires precision, technical knowledge, and a strong commitment to quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical drawingsCut, strip, crimp, solder wires; install connectors and coveringsPerform continuity and electrical testing using test equipmentMaintain accurate records of assemblies and test resultsPerform routine maintenance on tools and machineryAdhere to all safety and compliance standardsRequired Experience & Skills:
At least 2 years of experience in cable harness or electronics assemblySkilled in soldering, crimping, and using various connectorsFamiliar with multimeters and continuity testersPreferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of IPC620, JSTD, and COPs standardsExperience with quality inspectionStrong attention to detail and good manual dexterityBackground in automotive, aerospace, or telecom industries is a plusSchedule:
