Trainee SMT Operator

Permanent Position

Proactive Global is hiring for Trainee SMT Operator for a leading manufacturing company based in Windsor, SL4. We are looking for experienced Technician to work within a busy electronics manufacturer and willing to get trained on SMT Machines.

Duration- Full time is 37 hours per week

Mon to Thurs 07:30 to 16:00 and Fri 07:30 to 12;30

Pay Rate: £26,250 pa

Location : Windsor, SL4

Roles and Responsibilities:

Operate computer-controlled surface mount assembly machinery to successfully assemble surface mount technology printed circuit assembliesContinually monitor the process to ensure perfect quality using inspection equipmentAbility to read machine error messages and correct placement & printing problemsConfident to hand place SMT parts accurately onto circuit assemblies, ensuring correct polarity of devicesKit and de-kit SMT placements machines and set up printing programs on automatic stencil printersDocument aspects of the Work Order including run times, hand fits, and process deviationsRead and interpret Drawings, Diagrams and Bills of MaterialsMaintain high housekeeping standards

Role Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Through-Hole Solderer to carry out high-quality soldering and assembly of electronic components. The successful candidate will ensure products meet strict quality standards while contributing to the efficiency and productivity of the production line.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform through-hole soldering of electronic components to PCB assemblies with precision and accuracy.Inspect and test assemblies to ensure adherence to quality standards.Follow work instructions, drawings, and procedures carefully.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in line with H&S guidelines.Support the team with other assembly tasks as required.

Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in through-hole soldering within electronics manufacturing.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions.Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a small team.Understanding of basic quality control processes is desirable.

Role Details :

Location: Windsor (SL4)

Pay rate: £13 per hour

Normal Working hours: 37hrs / week

Monday - Thursday : 08:00-16.30 (half hour lunch)

Friday : 08:00-13:00 (no lunch)

Responsibilities:

Goods In. Checking and booking in deliveries. Dealing with queries, labelling, and putting away new stock. Preparing parts. Tape and Reeling parts, baking parts, re-sealing and counting.Kitting. Picking and kitting parts ready for production.Re stocking. Putting away returned kits, counting and stock checking.Unloading (forklift) if, and when trained.Despatch. Receiving and checking final assemblies, processing, and packing ready to ship to customers.

As a Test Engineer, you play a key part in quality control for production and as a part of the test team responsible for testing, diagnosing and supporting production of PCBAs and finished electronic assemblies. Key Responsibilities:
