We are currently recruiting for a Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor to join an established engineering business based in Woking. This is a practical, varied role where you will take ownership of site maintenance, supervise a small facilities team, coordinate contractors, and ensure the workplace remains safe, compliant, and well maintained.
This opportunity would suit someone with experience in facilities management, building maintenance, site maintenance, or engineering maintenance who enjoys being hands-on while also taking responsibility for people, contractors, and daily operations.
The RoleAs Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
Taking ownership of the overall condition, appearance, and functionality of the site facilities and grounds.
Carrying out hands-on maintenance, repairs, and improvement works across the site.
Supervising and supporting a Facilities & Maintenance Assistant.
Managing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities.
Acting as the main point of contact for external contractors and service providers.
Coordinating contractor visits and ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
Managing maintenance documentation, including purchase orders, RAMS, permits, insurance records, and service reports.
Carrying out regular site inspections, identifying issues, and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
Supporting health & safety compliance and maintaining accurate facilities records.
Working closely with internal teams to ensure the site continues to support business operations.
About YouThe ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in facilities, building maintenance, site maintenance, or a similar role.
Experience working within a manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or commercial environment.
Strong practical maintenance skills with a hands-on approach.
Experience supervising a team member or coordinating maintenance activities.
Experience managing contractors and external service providers.
A good understanding of health & safety requirements within a facilities environment.
The ability to prioritise workloads and manage both planned and reactive tasks.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
A full UK driving licence.

You will supervise a junior facilities Technician and also liaise with internal departments and external contractors.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, safety and presentation of all facilities and grounds. This is a hands-on role requiring you to partake and plan a wide range of maintenance and repair activities whilst managing external contractors on site.
We are looking for a flexible and skilled Facilities engineer who can support a wide range of maintenance activities, whilst being a positive, enthusiastic person on site. Personality will be key to this role as it will be working with multiple departments within the organisation.
The Role:

Practical maintenance experience within a medium sized manufacturing, industrial, commercial or facilities environment.Strong hands-on skills across general building maintenance and repair.Experience supervising staff or coordinating maintenance teams.Experience managing contractors and service providers.Good understanding of health and safety responsibilities within a facilities environment.Able to prioritise workloads and balance hands-on maintenance activities with contractor and facilities coordination responsibilities.Competent in maintaining records, raising purchase orders and managing maintenance documentation.
