Experienced Facilities Technician is urgently required to join a specialist engineering and manufacturing business near Woking. We are looking for someone with a background within managing the upkeep, repair and maintenance of all facilities and equipment on site. You will supervise a junior facilities Technician and also liaise with internal departments and external contractors.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep, maintenance, safety and presentation of all facilities and grounds. This is a hands-on role requiring you to partake and plan a wide range of maintenance and repair activities whilst managing external contractors on site.

We are looking for a flexible and skilled Facilities engineer who can support a wide range of maintenance activities, whilst being a positive, enthusiastic person on site. Personality will be key to this role as it will be working with multiple departments within the organisation.

The Role:

Take ownership of the overall condition, appearance and functionality of the interior and exterior of the facility.Carry out hands-on maintenance, repair and improvement works across the site, including building fabric, fixtures, fittings and general facilities infrastructure.Respond to day-to-day maintenance issues, personally undertaking repairs where appropriate.Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds and facilities to identify maintenance requirements.Oversee the program of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) delivered by the external maintenance contractor.Review and coordinate maintenance activities, securing quotations and approvals.Monitor contractor performance and ensure all works are completed to specification.Supervise and Provide day-to-day supervision, guidance and work allocation to the Maintenance & Facilities Assistant.Health, Safety & ComplianceEnsure scheduled inspections are completed and documented

The Person:

Practical maintenance experience within a medium sized manufacturing, industrial, commercial or facilities environment.Strong hands-on skills across general building maintenance and repair.Experience supervising staff or coordinating maintenance teams.Experience managing contractors and service providers.Good understanding of health and safety responsibilities within a facilities environment.Able to prioritise workloads and balance hands-on maintenance activities with contractor and facilities coordination responsibilities.Competent in maintaining records, raising purchase orders and managing maintenance documentation.

Machine Setting and Production

Mechanical Assembly Technician Required Egham

Salary: £30k to £32k per annum

This is a hands-on position responsible for preparing precision-engineered components and assembling them into system elements used in advanced hydraulic systems. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work with high-value components to strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble components using hand, power, and precision toolsInterpret technical drawings and follow work instructionsEnsure all parts meet required quality standards; identify and report defectsHandle components safely in line with health & safety regulationsMaintain tools, equipment, and 5S workplace standardsWork collaboratively with colleagues and support team activitiesContribute to continuous improvement, including work instructions and risk assessmentsFollow all company procedures and safety requirements

Skills & Experience Essential:

Ability to read and interpret technical drawingsStrong mechanical assembly skills (hydraulics knowledge desirable)Experience with hand, power, and precision toolsHigh attention to detail and problem-solving abilityGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity

Experience:

Minimum 2 years' experience in precision engineering or similar environmentExperience assembling high-value, low-volume components

Qualifications:

Apprenticeship or equivalent practical background (preferred)

Key Competencies

Ability to work independently and as part of a teamStrong organisational and prioritisation skillsReliable, punctual, and quality-focusedProfessional communication with colleagues and customersComputer literacy for basic communication and documentation
