Position: Panel Wirer
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 depending on experience
Location: Essex
Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00am - 16:00 - Early finish Friday

Proactive are currently recruiting for an experienced Control Panel Wireman to begin work for a leading manufacturing and engineering company based in Essex. This is a permanent position and an exciting role working for a market leader within the automated machinery and pharmaceutical industry offering ample opportunity for progression and development.

The role will involve working with the Automation Technicians and Design Team in the production of electrical wiring diagrams for company control systems.

Responsibilities:

Working as part of the automation team to wire and instal electrical control panels.Cross referencing of required panel components against wiring diagram and control panel layouts.Assembly of control panel enclosure: building plinths, assembling bays and side panels.Layout chassis plates in line with blueprints and work alongside Electrical Draughtsman to accomplish best panel layout and specifications.Assembly of components on to chassis plate and fix accordingly.Using the issued wiring diagrams wire the control panel working with the Electrical Design Draughtsman and Automation Technician.

Experience:

Essential

Formal Electrical Engineering Qualification (e.g., apprenticeship)

Desirable

Familiarity with Automated production machinery or other similar capital equipment.Worked in a project environment in cross-functional project teams.

Personal Attributes

Should have a systematic approach to work with high attention to detail.You should be flexible and have a willingness to learn and apply yourself to areas you are not familiar with.A string desire to improve and develop within their area of work.Able to work effectively with people across departments and shop floor staff.

Position: Prototype Wirer Assembler

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000

Location: Milton Keynes

Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Prototype Wirer Assembler to begin work for a leading manufacturer based in Milton Keynes.

Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Prototype Wirer Assembler to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.

Candidates must be British Citizens or EU National having worked in the UK for the last 5 years.

Our client a busy BMS control panel manufacturing specialist are looking for an experienced panel wireman to join their team on an a contract basis.

You will have a strong working background as a panel wirer and a proven history of building and wiring BMS Control Panels. Prior relevant experience is essential as they are keen on taking on an experienced wirer who can hit the ground running.

The successful BMS Panel Wirer will have a proven background in building and wiring of a variety of control panels specifically for Building Management Systems applications.

You will be required to build panels to the specifications from the schematic drawings provided, taking the panels from empty enclosures to fully wired and tested products.

Key Skills:-

Strong previous work experience as a Control Panel Wirer with experience of electrical/mechanical manufacture of BMS control panelsExpert knowledge and experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings, wiring diagrams and using schematic drawings.Laying out back plate as drawn (Measure and cut trunking and DIN rail, Drill and tap back plates)Fit out back plate with parts/components provided (e.g. relays, isolators and controller and input/output modules)Wire panels as per provided drawingsCut out holes for touch screens in doors and installPunch enclosure door for switched and lamps and installCarry out functional/operational testing
