Proactive Global is hiring for experienced Powder Coater to join a leading manufacturing company based in Slough.

Role: temp to perm

Hours: Standard Shift

Pay Rate: £15 - £16 holiday accrued

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Powder Coater to join our production team, specialising in high-quality small volume finished products. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing components to a consistently high standard, ensuring durability, appearance, and compliance with specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare metal components for coating, including cleaning, masking, and pre-treatmentApply powder coating using manual spray equipmentEnsure even coverage, correct thickness, and high-quality finishOperate curing ovens and monitor temperature and cycle timesInspect finished products for defects such as runs, thin coverage, or contaminationCarry out rework and touch-ups where requiredMaintain equipment and ensure the spray booth and work area are clean and organisedFollow all health & safety procedures, including safe handling of powders and equipmentWork closely with production and quality teams to meet deadlines and standards

Essential Requirements

Proven experience in powder coating within a manufacturing or finishing environmentStrong understanding of surface preparation and coating techniquesAbility to achieve consistent, high-quality finishes on a variety of componentsGood attention to detail and quality control standardsKnowledge of curing processes and coating specificationsAbility to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience with high-spec or cosmetic finish productsFamiliarity with different powder types and application methodsBasic maintenance knowledge of coating equipment
