Production Operatives required to work for a manufacturing company based in Buckingham.

Job Purpose:

To assist in the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of metal components, supporting the production process while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate basic metalworking machinery and hand tools under supervision.Assist with cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts according to specifications.Perform routine checks on materials and finished products to ensure quality standards are met.Maintain a clean and organised work area.Follow all health and safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective equipment.Support senior metal workers and supervisors in production tasks as required.Report equipment faults or production issues promptly.

Skills and Qualifications:

Previous experience in a metalworking or manufacturing environment preferred but not essential.Ability to read simple technical drawings and follow instructions.Basic understanding of metal types and properties.Physically fit and able to handle manual work safely.Willingness to learn new skills and work under supervision.Attention to detail and reliability.

Desirable:

Basic welding, grinding, or machining skills.Familiarity with workshop safety standards and procedures.

Working Conditions:

Workshop environment with exposure to noise, dust, and metalworking machinery.Full-time role with possible overtime to meet production schedules.

Pay - £12.71 - £14.24Hours - 8am - 4:30pm

Job Purpose

The Production Operative is responsible for supporting the manufacturing or production processes by operating air guns, handling materials, assembling products, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operate production tools or equipment to ensure smooth manufacturing or assembly processes.Inspect materials, products, or equipment to identify defects and ensure quality standards are met.Assemble and pack products as per company specifications and customer requirements.Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times.Report any faults or issues with equipment or materials to the supervisor.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area.Monitor production levels and notify supervisors of any discrepancies or delays.Maintain accurate records of production activities, including output and waste levels.

Key Skills and Competencies

Attention to detail and focus on quality control.Basic understanding of production processes and equipment.Ability to operate tools safely.Good communication skills to report issues and work effectively in a team.Ability to work to tight deadlines and meet production targets.Good organizational skills and ability to multitask.Strong problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Hours of work

8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Pay

£12.71 holiday accrued or £14.24 holiday paid.
