Job Role: Quality Inspector

Location: Southend-on-Sea

Salary: £34,000 - £40,000

Hours: 07:30am - 16:00pm

Proactive are currently in search of a Quality inspector to start work for a client in Southend-on-Sea. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the role is to ensure that all products manufactured are to the high quality standards the business demands and are compliant to all global areas relating to regulatory labelling and document storage for traceability reasons. This is the final stage of the Production process and is extremely important to ensure the company is maintaining the responsibilities of the business for legal and product quality areas.

Interim and final inspection of capital equipment and accessory items to ensure quality standards are met.Inspection and management of all associated documentation to ensure correct data recording and conformity to standards.Management of correct export documentation and labelling.Final inspection of goods for quality of finish.Management of documentation relating to the build process and staff processes.Responsible for deciding if a product passes inspection standards.Clean, prepare and packing of finished goods.Final packing and preparation for despatch, with management of labelling and shipping documentation.

Be able to discuss / communicate rationally and professionally.Have the ability to communicate on all levels.Self-Motivated with positive outlook.Competent reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required.Acute understanding of time management, logistics and process control.Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks.Working knowledge of inspection / test methods.Ability to maintain records.

Position: Quality Inspector

Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Quality Inspector to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.

Overview of the role:

Carry out dimensional and cosmetic inspection of goods manufactured in-house or by the supply chain.Maintain daily inspection figures and reports.Complete AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports for goods manufactured in-house.Inspect and verify AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports submitted by the supply chain.Support in the identification and handling of non-conforming (NC) products.Ensure assigned tasks are completed on time to support customer schedules.Communicate effectively and professionally with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.Perform any other duties that may be required from time to time to support the business.

Basic Requirements and Qualifications:

Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings & Specifications.Experience in using handheld inspection equipment, rules, verniers etc. (Training will be provided if necessary).Keen eye for detail.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Team player, enthusiastic with a positive 'can do' attitude.Ability to work under pressure, to multi-task & manage own time to meet required deadlines.

Experienced Quality Inspector required to work for a world leading manufacturing business based in Aldershot. We are looking for experienced Inspectors who are used to working with precision engineering and machined parts.

You will be working within a busy inspection team inspecting safety critical components and working to a compliance standards.

We are looking for experienced inspectors who has the ability and background of conducting inspections, reporting results and uploading into the QMS, to be reviewed by senior management and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect and approve all materials/products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and reporting any non conforming materials/products.Perform first off, in-process and final inspection by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement testsRead technical drawings, control plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarise re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database.Communicating with the Quality/Engineering department about how to prevent similar defects in the future.

Skills and Qualifications/experience:

Strong understanding of quality control/inspection standards and testing techniques/methods.use of micrometers, verniers, DTis, height gauges, shadowgraphs, CMM, etc.Strong understanding technical drawings and GD&TRCCA knowledge (including 8D methodology)Good math and technical skills (required).Good knowledge of MS OfficeGeneral knowledge of metrologyFAIR/PPAP knowledge (preferred).Ability to work in fast paced environment/under pressure
