Job Title: Electro Mechanical Technician

Location: Swindon

Salary: £32,000-42,000 DOE

This Electro Mechanical Technician role is an excellent opportunity for a practical, detail-focused technician to join a growing technology business where no two days are quite the same.

Working as part of a busy technical and operations team, you will be responsible for building, assembling, wiring, testing and maintaining advanced electro-mechanical systems and equipment. This is a hands-on Electro Mechanical Technician position suited to someone who enjoys practical problem solving, working from engineering specifications and playing a key role in ensuring products are built, tested and ready for use.

As an Electro Mechanical Technician your responsibilities will include:

Building, assembling and configuring electro-mechanical systems, sub-assemblies and components in line with engineering specificationsCarrying out wiring, soldering, crimping, cable assembly, mechanical fitting and light fabrication workConducting bench testing, inspection, fault finding and system validation prior to release or operationPerforming routine maintenance, repairs, upgrades and troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical and electronic systemsMaintaining accurate build records, test documentation, maintenance logs and supporting continuous improvement across processes and equipment

As an Electro Mechanical Technician, you will need:

Proven experience in electro-mechanical assembly, build, test, maintenance or repair workConfidence working with wiring, electronics, mechanical components, hand tools and technical drawingsStrong fault-finding skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical and system-level issuesGood attention to detail, organisation and documentation skillsA proactive, flexible and hands-on approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a fast-moving team

This Electro Mechanical Technician position would suit someone who enjoys variety, technical challenge and the satisfaction of seeing a product through from build and assembly to testing, validation and final readiness.

The Role

This is a hands-on, bench-based position where precision, care, and pride in your work matter. You'll be assembling high-quality lighting products to customer specifications, often managing multiple works orders at once.

All kits and components will be delivered directly to your workstation - your focus is on building, testing, and ensuring flawless quality.

You'll report to the Production Manager, with day-to-day guidance from a Production Team Leader.
