We are currently recruiting for a Fabricator Welder to join a busy manufacturing facility in Bedford on a long-term ongoing contract.
This is a hands-on, maintenance-focused role rather than a traditional fabrication position. You will be responsible for carrying out repairs, modifications and fabrication work around the site, helping to keep equipment, machinery and site infrastructure operating safely and effectively.
The Role
As a Fabricator Welder, you will be involved in:
Carrying out TIG welding and fabrication repairs around the manufacturing siteRepairing and modifying existing machinery, equipment and structuresFabricating replacement parts and components where requiredWorking from measurements and existing components rather than primarily producing new buildsCarrying out preventative and reactive maintenance-related fabrication workTIG welding to a high standardWorking alongside the engineering and maintenance teamsEnsuring all work is completed safely and to a good standardAbout You
We are looking for an experienced Fabricator Welder with strong TIG welding experience who is comfortable working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
You should have:
Previous experience as a Fabricator WelderStrong TIG welding and fabrication skillsExperience repairing or modifying existing equipment, machinery or structuresGood practical problem-solving skillsThe ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance teamExperience within manufacturing, engineering, production or another industrial environment would be advantageousThis would suit a Fabricator Welder who enjoys a varied maintenance environment and is looking for a long-term contract rather than short-term fabrication projects.

Roles: Fabricator/Welder
Location: Weston-Super-Mare
Duration: Temp-to-perm (Permanent work for the right candidates)
Rate: £14 - £20/Hour
Working Hours: 7am - 3.30pm Monday to Thursday. 7am - 1pm Friday.
Overtime is usually available Mon - Saturday and paid at T x 1.5. This will be dependent on the workflow which would vary each week.
About The Role
Fabricator/Welder required to start ASAP for an engineering company located near Weston-Super-Mare.
This role will primarily involve fabrication work such as drilling, tacking, cutting material and working from engineering drawings though it would be advantageous if candidates can also MIG Weld as when busy candidates will also be required to help out by taking on welding responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:Perform MIG welding on mild steel of various thicknesses.
Read and interpret engineering drawings with minimal guidance.
Carry out fitting tasks, including component alignment, shaft fitting, and drive fitting.
Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail in every task.
Adhere to all relevant safety standards and company policies.
Requirements:Proven experience in MIG welding, particularly with mild steel.
Ability to interpret and follow engineering drawings accurately.
Competence in fitting and aligning components (shaft and drive fitting, etc.).
Strong awareness of safety standards and practices in the workplace.
Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Working Hours:Monday to Thursday: 7:50 AM - 5:00 PM
