Based at our customer site, the Resident Automation Technician II must represent the image and ensure a professional relationship with the client is developed and maintained.

Responsibilities:
Resolve customer equipment issues as quickly and practically as possible.
Complete work assignments and the associated work orders as assigned.
Complete maintenance activities pertaining to the automated equipment on-site, including conveyors, cranes, shuttles, scale checks, and carton-opening systems.
Adhere to the highest quality standards, while always ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
Optimize automation efficiency and performance to ensure delivery of contracted KPIs. Interface with the customer as needed to support operations.
Monitor and maintain the site spare parts inventory.
Collaborate with the broader Lifetime Services team to track, document, and communicate issues and lessons learned.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
High school diploma required. Associate degree or Technical Certificate in Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or related field strongly preferred.
Two (2) to three (3) years of demonstrated experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment in industrial, warehousing/distribution, manufacturing, or related environments.
Familiarity with HMI (human machine interface) and/or SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition interface) experience.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings for use in diagnostics.
Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc).
Ability to travel up to 10%.
Previous experience in electromechanical troubleshooting and repair of material-handling conveyors, AS/RS, and shuttle systems, preferred.
Profibus and Profinet experience preferred.

CNC Machninists (Milling or Turning) required to work manufacturing company based in Milton Keynes.

We are currently looking for CNC Programmers, Setters and Operators for a busy client experiencing growth.

Operatives who can programme online ( at the machine) using Fanuc controlled machines; they will also need to set and operate the machine. We are willing to offer training for the right candidate, but they must have worked with CNC lathes previously and be able to set and operate. We have a simple pre screening test that we would like all potential candidates to complete prior to arranging interviews. This test will consist of point-to-point positions with G-code (G1, G2 & G3).

The two lathe we have areas follows;

Doosan Puma 2600SY II CNC lathe equipped with Doosan-Fanuc 0iTF Plus CNC Control System with Manual Guide 'i' with bar feeder. Live tooling with sub spindle.

Leadwell Turning Centre LTC-25i LVM with Fanuc controls single spindle C axis live tooling.

The rate of pay will be between £13-£19 per hour depending on experience. Hours of work are 7.45m to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.45am to 3.30pm on Fridays with a 45-minute unpaid lunchbreak each day, a total of 39 hours per week. There is also potential for overtime.

Overtime payment is as follows.

The first 4 hours worked in excess of normal hours are paid 1.5 times the hourly rate, thereafter, hours worked are paid at twice the hourly rate.Working extra hours on a Saturday, first 4 hours at 1.5 times the hourly rate, thereafter twice the hourly rate.Working extra hours on a Sunday, providing the preceding Saturday has been worked, you will be paid at twice the hourly rate.Working on a Bank Holiday will be paid at twice the hourly rate

* Develop conceptual and detailed designs for advanced material handling systems, including sortation solutions, 3D ASRS, and fulfilment systems based on customer requirements, throughput targets, and storage needs.

* Create and optimise system layouts using AutoCAD and Autodesk Navisworks, including model integration, clash detection, and design reviews.

* Analyse operational data, calculate throughput and capacity requirements, and create scalable solutions supported by technical documentation, specifications, and equipment lists.

* Lead technical discussions with internal teams, CAD engineers, project teams, and international customers.

* Support commercial proposals and customer presentations by explaining technical solutions and design decisions.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
* 4-5+ years of experience designing, engineering, or implementing material handling systems, with a focus on Sortation and/or ASRS.

* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and experience using Autodesk Navisworks for model review and clash detection.

* Strong analytical skills with experience analysing operational data using Excel or similar tools.

* Excellent professional English communication skills (written and verbal).

* Experience with simulation software, WMS/WCS integration, or Creo/SolidWorks knowledge is advantageous.

* Fluency or professional working proficiency in German and/or French is highly desirable.
