About the Role

We are currently seeking a number of Assembly Operatives to join a busy team on a long term basis. This role will involve working to specifications, assembling quality components and sub-assemblies within a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and electronic schematicsAssemble components and sub-assemblies to defined specificationsCarry out soldering tasks to a high standardUse hand tools and soldering equipment to complete assembly task

Skills & Experience Required

Some form of experience within assembly based workStrong soldering skills although training can be givenCompetence with hand toolsAbility to confidently read basic drawings

We are currently recruiting for a number of Assembly Operators to join a busy manufacturing company based in St Neots. Immediate starts are available for suitable candidates.

The successful candidates will be responsible for assembling mechanical parts and components to a high standard, carrying out quality checks, and working as part of a team to achieve production targets.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately assemble mechanical parts and components in accordance with specifications and instructions.Carry out quality checks to ensure finished products meet the required standards.Use hand tools safely and effectively during the assembly process.Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily production targets.Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised working environment.Follow all company health and safety procedures and manufacturing guidelines.Report any quality issues, defects, or production concerns to the appropriate supervisor.Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience in an assembly, manufacturing, or production environment is advantageous but not essential.Ability to confidently use basic hand tools.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.Good manual dexterity and the ability to follow detailed instructions.Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.A positive attitude and willingness to learn.Additional InformationPay: £12.71 - £14.24 per hourHours: Monday-Thursday 7:30am-4:30pm; Friday 7:30am-1:30pmLocation: St NeotsStart: Immediate starts available for suitable candidates

Our client in Reading is currently for a number of assembly operatives to join the business on a temp to perm basis, both AM and PM shifts available.

AM Shifts: 6.00am-2.30pm Monday to Friday

PM Shifts: 2.30pm-11.00pm Monday to Friday

Duties

Assemble and build products using a range of tools and workshop equipmentMechanical and electrical assemblyBasic electrical wiringSafe handling of products accordance with the company's Health & Safety procedures.Ensure all equipment used in performing the above tasks is returned to its proper location and is used in a safe manner and in accordance to the manufacture guidelinesTo ensure that the work area and adjacent gangways are kept tidy and free from obstruction.To be aware of and comply with ISO 9001:2015 processes and procedures where applicable

Required Experience:

Be a self-starter that can work independently towards set targets and goalsPrevious assembly experienceAbility to use hand and power tools
