We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join our clients team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to perform various machining operationsRead and interpret engineering drawings to determine machining requirementsMonitor machine operations to ensure proper functioningInspect finished components for accuracy and qualityMake adjustments to machine settings as neededMaintain a clean and organised work area
Requirements
Proficiency in operating CNC lathe machinesKnowledge of CAD software for reading engineering drawingsAbility to use hand tools effectivelyMechanical knowledge for troubleshooting machine issuesExperience with materials handling and toolingExperience in programming Doosan 220LSY, 220, 2100L with bar feeders or other similar multi axes machines advantageous.
Skills
Collaborate with team members to achieve production targetsAbility to assemble and handle materials effectivelyProficiency in basic maths for measurements and calculationsFamiliarity with CAD software for reading technical drawingsKnowledge of Fanuc softwareCompetence in using hand tools for adjustments and maintenanceExperience with milling processes is advantageousWorking Hours

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Miller/ CNC Turner to join our precision engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce complex components to tight tolerances using Heidenhain and Siemens control systems. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail and experience working in a high-spec environment with demanding quality standards.
This role reports to the Machine Shop Manager / Supervisor.
Location:
Workshop-based precision machining environment. PPE required at all times. Overtime and shift work may be required depending on workload.
What you will be doing:
Program, set and operate CNC milling machines using Heidenhain and Siemens controlsManufacture precision components to tight tolerances (micron-level where required)Work from detailed engineering drawings including GD&T specificationsSelect appropriate tooling, cutting parameters and machining strategiesMachine a range of materials including steels, stainless steels and exotic alloysConduct first-off inspection and in-process checks using precision measuring equipmentEnsure all parts meet strict quality and customer specificationsOptimise programs and processes to improve cycle times while maintaining qualityTroubleshoot machining issues and adjust programs or setups accordinglyMaintain machines and ensure safe operationCollaborate with quality and engineering teams for continuous improvement
What we are looking for:

RequirementsProven CNC Turning experience
