Our client is manufacturer and supplier of modular steelwork and engineered support systems, delivering solutions for industrial and construction projects. Our systems improve installation efficiency, safety and quality, supported by BIM-integrated design workflows and off-site construction methodologies.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced CAD / BIM Engineer to join our clients engineering team, supporting the delivery of high-quality, buildable construction drawings using specialist steel support systems.
This is a hands-on technical role where you will work closely with engineers and project teams to produce clear, accurate and coordinated designs. You will contribute to efficient project delivery and help maintain high standards of drawing quality within the team.
This role is well suited to someone with solid experience in construction detailing who is looking to develop further within a collaborative engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
Produce accurate 2D drawings and coordinated 3D models using AutoCAD and relevant modelling toolsDevelop practical, buildable designs using modular steelwork systemsDeliver coordinated, construction-ready drawing packagesEnsure drawings align with relevant standards (e.g. Eurocodes UK NA, ISO 19650 BIM principles)Identify missing or unclear design information and seek clarification where neededSupport the reduction of design queries by producing clear and complete drawingsWork collaboratively with engineers and project teams to meet project requirementsSupport knowledge sharing within the team and assist less experienced colleagues where appropriate
Essential Requirements
5+ years' experience producing construction drawings in a relevant environmentStrong background in structural or secondary steelwork detailingGood understanding of construction detailing and installation requirementsProficient in AutoCAD (essential)Experience using 3D modelling tools such as Revit, Tekla, Advance Steel or similarGood attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawingsQualifications
