Resident Maintenance Engineer
MUST BE FULLY AUTHORISED TO WORK IN THE UK-NO SPONSORSHIP WILL BE PROVIDED.
As the Resident Engineer you will maintain all products and third party equipment inclusive of planned maintenance and breakdowns.
You will contribute to strategies and support all continuous improvement activities, that underpin site performance.
You'll be working a continental shift pattern: 4 on 2 off - 3 on 2 off - 3 on 2 off - 4 on then 8 days off. This is Days and Nights, 12 hour shifts

What you'll be handling:
Support to delivery of the contracted KPI'sElectrical and mechanical fault finding and rectificationReactive and preventative maintenance of all company equipment and third party products installed on siteSupport the automation to operate at its maximum efficiency ensuring that the customers' orders are not missedAttend customer meetings providing any updates on the automationSuggest any continuous improvement activities that will increase the reliability of the company and third party assets on siteActively seek root cause when remedying any breakdowns on company supplied equipment and softwareCo-ordinate planned preventive maintenance activities with the customerMentor, train and advise at all levels on engineering practicesCo-ordination of any automation breakdowns and escalationsComply to all current, future health and safety legislation at all timesWhat you'll need:
Minimum NVQ level 3/BTEC ONC/HNC Electrical/Mechanical EngineeringPrevious Experience of working in an operational engineering role within a similar environmentProficient communication skills and customer focusedAbility to work in a time critical environmentAble to work flexible shift patternsDemonstrated ability for solving problemsPreferred experience of working with Warehouse Management Systems
