Job Opportunity: Industrial Electrician - Brisbane | Automation Systems | Shift Work + OT

We're hiring an Electrical Resident Technician in Brisbane for a permanent shift-based role working across rotating day and night shifts. With up to 40-50 hours per per month of overtime, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on variety, responsibility, and technical growth.

What you'll be doing:

Carry out electrical fault finding, breakdown response, and preventative maintenance on advanced automated systems

Support production uptime by resolving faults on conveyors, storage systems, PLCs, VSDs, and mechatronic equipment

Complete tasks logged through CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) and ensure maintenance records are up to date

Assist with continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshooting with global support teams and OEMs

Maintain compliance with AS3000 standards, site policies, and safety procedures

Provide support during scheduled shutdowns and assist with contractor supervision as needed

We're looking for someone with:

A current Queensland Electrical License (essential)

Experience in industrial maintenance or automated environments

Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and control systems

Familiarity with PLCs (Siemens preferred), VSDs, sensors, and control wiring

CMMS experience and the ability to read electrical schematics

A safety-first mindset with excellent communication and teamwork skills

Desirable: Pneumatics & hydraulics post-trade certificate
