Location: Denham, UB9
Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 (plus 22.5% shift allowance for rotating shifts)

Shift Patterns Available

Rotating Shift (includes 22.5% shift allowance):
Week 1:
Mon-Thurs: 06:00-14:00
Fri: 06:00-12:00

Week 2:
Mon-Thurs: 13:45-22:00
Fri: 11:45-16:15

Standard Day Shift:
Mon-Thurs: 08:00-17:00
Fri: 08:00-12:00

The Role

We are looking for skilled Mechanical Inspectors to support the inspection and quality assurance of critical components. You'll be responsible for verifying parts and assemblies, ensuring everything meets exacting standards for use in safety-critical aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed inspection and testing of components using a range of techniques and toolsGenerate and maintain inspection documentation using SAPTrack components through the production lifecycle and update progress accuratelyMaintain accurate location and condition records for all partsRecord and report non-conforming products to support continuous improvement

What You'll Need

Previous inspection experience in manufacturing or engineeringStrong numeracy and geometry skills, including an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GDT)Ability to interpret complex engineering drawingsFamiliarity with standard inspection tools and equipmentBasic knowledge of Health & Safety protocolsCompetence using Microsoft Office and SAP

We are looking for people with the below experience.

We do not require someone to have all this experience but some would be advantageous.

Advanced deburring techniques desirable.Metal Polishing.Fabricating and assembling seat pan chassis and parachute container assemblies,Conducting bench fitting and build of detailed assemblies.Conduct heat treatment, (annealing and age hardening) of components to strictly defined specifications.Conduct Injection Moulding.Packing, bonding and room temperature vulcanising, sealing of box bridle line assemblies.Producing seat backrest and sitting platform assemblies.Fitting hardware and furniture using a range of aerospace fasteners, adhesives and VelcroTo operate barrel tumbling and vibratory finishing equipment.To prepare the metallic surface for further processing. To suitably mask components to ensure bores, holes, slots, etc are free from abrasive media before entering machinery.To undertake inspection of parts.

We are looking for experienced assembly operatives to work within a busy, skilled production team. This role involves working from technical documents (drawings, schematics, BOM) and identifying process improvements for manager review.

Mon - Fri: 7.30am - 4.00pm (Over-time is regularly available)

Requirements Summary:
