About the Role
Proactive are currently in search of an experienced Production Team leader for a market leading electronics manufacturing company based in Dartford.
As a Production Team Leader you will be required to lead and manage the team within the business to ensure that products are produced in the most efficient manner, at the right quality levels to ensure a high level of performance is maintained in the business.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Work to ensure people and resources are applied in an efficient and effective manner to meet delivery requirements while achieving quality and safety standardsEnsure that team members follow defined manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirementsEnsure full adherence to good housekeeping standards are always met.Ensure equipment is within calibration date and all systems are functioning correctlyEnsure that non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregatedEnsure that quality concerns are reported to the appropriate personal and that proper process controls are followed in the event of a quality issue raised.Ensure achievement of production throughput.Ensure the team are aware of day-to-day targets and responsibilitiesManage work order closures (scanning where applicable)Monitor and maintain all safety equipment and toolsIdentify training and development needs to management.Be part of the corrective action process when your area is affected.Identify improvement opportunitiesMonitor team performance and report to your manager/direct report.Set clear team goals and KPI'sHold your team accountable to set targets and KPI's.Responsible for training of operators for products and processes within your teamResponsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational successMonitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with Company proceduresCarry out incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closureConsistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of themCommunicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from the strategic annual plan so that each employee is aware of expectations and deliverablesProvide product expertise within team, and respond to operator queriesWork positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities.Provide support and input to continuous improvement activities within the teamInterface with Production Scheduling to determine schedules for shift productionLiaise and communicate with other departments and ensure an effective interface is maintainedFeedback to the Management team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvement activities.Requirements
