The SMT operator will set up and operate a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines including robotic assembly equipment used in the production of the company's product.
Responsible for the overall operation and care of potentially large-scale manufacturing machinery including actions such as feeding materials for processing, adjusting settings, performing minor repairs, and pulling finished product from the line.
Responsibilities:
Operate computer-controlled surface mount assembly machinery to successfully assemble surface mount technology printed circuit assemblies.Operate AOI machinery to successfully inspect PCBAs in line.Ability to read machine error messages and correct placement & printing problems on a modern pick & placement line whilst adhering to product process times.Confident to hand place SMT parts accurately onto circuit assemblies, ensuring correct polarity of devices.Be able to kit and de-kit SMT placements machines and set up printing programs on automatic stencil printers.Able to set up and operate the surface mount equipment, maintaining high quality standards on all activities undertaken.Document all work completed on the SMT process via shopfloor MES system.Ensure information entered into the manufacturing system is accurate at all times.How to Apply:

JOB PURPOSE
Working within the Assembly Flow Line process team, assembling electro-mechanical assemblies as part of an assembly line using a variety of small hand tools and production aids/jigs. To follow methods and sequence of operations in; kit prep, mechanical assembly, in-line inspection, in-line testing and end of line packing. Adhering to internal production process and workflow plans while reporting to the process supervisor.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB PURPOSE
To accurately despatch the daily shipments of production and returns. The role carries responsibility for improving and implementing quality control procedures within the despatch area and providing cover in Stores when required.
Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfilment of products, merchandise, material, parts, supplies and equipment.
Checks goods received and distribution against purchase order or invoice. Maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items. Packages and prepares products for final shipment. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped, Reviews customers' orders, examines stocks and distributes merchandise.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Where possible and requested deliver product via company van.Pack & despatch customer orders/returns following the instructions relevant for the items being packed.Ensure the correct paperwork goes with the goods being despatched and the despatch manifests are correctly completed, matching the delivery notes and as required the Certificates of confirmatory.Notify the Production Controller or Production Manager of any discrepancies between the order information and paperwork.Refer regularly to the daily despatch sheets, and monthly production plan, preparing in advance for items that will require packing, including box labelling & paperwork completion.Maintain a minimum stock level of made-up consumable packing parts to aid in the packing of larger orders.Work in stores, picking & locating stock parts as required using the ERP system and record all stock movements.Manage couriers collecting/delivering goods as required.Recycle material/consumables in the loading bay area where possible and dispose of unwanted items. Maintain a tidy and well organised area at all times.Complete & sign job tracking sheets for all goods that are despatched from the company and tracked using the ERP system.Prepare customer orders and returned goods for packing and despatch, following the relevant packing instructions for the items being packed and despatched. This will include labelling and the preparation of delivery paperwork, in some cases providing the customer with details of the weights and measurements of goods being collected.Work closely with all areas across the business supporting the despatch of goods to customers in accordance with the daily despatch sheet.Record material movements into and from despatch using the ERP system to keep records of serial numbers etc of goods shipped and provide where requested lists of these numbers to the customer.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
A minimum of 2 years previous experience within a despatch/stores environment is essential.Experience in secure packaging with a hands on approach.Knowledge of suitable packaging solutions.Computer literate with knowledge of Word/Excel/Outlook & computerised stock control systems.Knowledge of standard booking couriers and preparation of packing notes, weights and dimensions.Full clean driving license is desirable.Proficient in understanding, reading, and writing in English.
