Electrical Design Engineer

Newbury

Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm - Friday 8am - 4.30pm

Our client is happy to look at both a Permanent and contract basis.

Perm - £45 - £50k / Contract - £40 - £60 per hour

The role -

Use the company system to estimate, design, cost and build quotations that are 100% relevant to the customer's requirements

Experience in Eplan or Electrical CAD

Experience with DraftSgiht would be advantageous

Be competent using CAD systems to draw Electrical Circuits that can be used by the manufacturing team

Liaise directly with customers, understand, and manage customer expectations

Solve problems and provide solutions when designing

Liaise with and cooperate with suppliers

Work with customer and business timelines

Meet company expectations around productivity and quality

Adhere to company systems and processes

Follow the company guide lines around self and time planning, using the company's system

Support the office and team, answer phones, engage and take ownership

Join in and support company meetings and team-based discussions

Understand and respect the company culture

Senior Buyer Required ASAP Newbury, Berkshire. Up to £50k/Annum

As the Senior Buyer, you are responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, components, and services required for electro-mechanical manufacturing. Additionally, the role involves guiding sourcing strategy, resolving shortages, managing supplier performance, and ensuring material availability to meet production schedules.

What we would like from the Senior Buyer:

CIPS Level 3 or working towards accreditation5 years' experience in procurement within electro-mechanical or defence/aerospace manufacturingStrong understanding of electronic components, machined and fabricated parts, and technical specificationsProficient in ERP/MRP systemsAbility to read engineering drawings and BOMsStrong commercial negotiation and supplier-relationship skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder-management capabilities across engineering and productionFamiliarity with ISO 9001, AS9100 or similar quality frameworksData-driven decision-making mindset with high attention to detail
