This is an exciting opportunity working for a market leader in the design and manufacture of high performance aerospace parts. You will be working as part of a wider team delivering projects to meet production targets.
Our client requires candidates who have proven CNC Setting / Turning experience with Sliding Head Machines and working within a manufacturing/engineering environment. You will have an understanding of and adherence to Health - Safety legislation including COSHH requirements You must be also able to demonstrate a strong attention to detail with regards to high quality paint preparation and the application of approved paint products.
Responsibilities:
Setting & Operating CNC sliding head machines to produce a variety of small-batch components from engineering drawings.Manufacturing all components within the agreed production time frame.Using measuring equipment to check components after manufacture.Maintain the agreed quality rating at all times.Working within the order of the manufacturing schedule at all times.Making sure the manufacturing paperwork is filled out correctly.Maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times.Supporting team members with other tasks as and when required.To help create and maintain a safe working environment andAdhere to the published Health & Safety procedures.Experience

Interim and final inspection of capital equipment and accessory items to ensure quality standards are met.Inspection and management of all associated documentation to ensure correct data recording and conformity to standards.Management of correct export documentation and labelling.Final inspection of goods for quality of finish.Management of documentation relating to the build process and staff processes.Responsible for deciding if a product passes inspection standards.Clean, prepare and packing of finished goods.Final packing and preparation for despatch, with management of labelling and shipping documentation.Personal Skills

Key Responsibilities
Perform planned maintenance with a focus on proactive issue detection.Swiftly address breakdowns and conduct effective corrective maintenance.Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults in various devices.Log work and parts in Maximo system.Showcase strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.Maintain professionalism in all customer interactions.Consistently meet and enhance contract SLAs.Provide support to other technicians and shifts as needed.Adhere to company health and safety regulations for a secure work environment.Requirements
Completed time-served apprenticeship or equivalent training.Hold City & Guilds/NVQ level 3 or higher in mechanical or electrical maintenance.Prior experience in FMCG manufacturing or automated warehousing (preferred).Ability to obtain and maintain a full airside pass.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficient with computer systems, including CMMS.Skilled in reading and interpreting drawings.Effective workload planning and prioritization abilities, can work independently and in teams, and open to overtime.Maintains a professional appearance and respectful demeanor.Desirable skills: 18th edition, ONC/HNC, multiskilled, PLC and diagnostics experience, training/coaching experience.Essential Requirements
