Hours: Monday to Thursday 07.30-16.00 and Friday 07.30-15.00

Main Duties:
Processing Works Orders to fulfil customer Purchase Orders (including but not limited to use of band saw, precision hand saw, lathe and other equipment and carrying out hand and machine de-burring, to process tube supply requirements)Machining tube to length and carrying out other processes as necessary using lathe, milling machines and other equipment.Noting and booking out material used from stock as necessaryAssisting in the welding department as required (mainly cleaning)Assisting in the tube bending department as requiredPrinting delivery notes and labels for the dispatch of customer Purchase Orders and ensure correct paperwork, Certificate of Conformity and Material Certs have been checked and assigned as per Works OrdersPlanning work schedule to ensure works orders are processed in accordance with due dates and advising tube office of any foreseen problems.Using company Stock Control System to check availability of stock and its locationChecking and ensuring tube being supplied from stock is in good condition and in accordance to works order requirementsAssisting with unloading/loading of incoming and outgoing deliveries as necessaryChecking incoming material against Purchase Orders and advising tube office of any discrepancies or damage. Checking lengths of tube and quantity received and advising tube office. Placing received stock in its correct location in tube storage area.Advising tube office of any low stockCarrying out stock checks as advised by tube office.Cleaning and maintaining tube cutting plant equipment as required and requested and advising tube office of any problems
Main Requirements:

Minimum of 4 years' experience in a hands-on technician or assembly role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.Strong experience with power and control panel wiring.Ability to read, understand and interpret electrical schematics and identify any discrepancies.Experience interpreting engineering documentation including assembly instructions, technical drawings and 3D CAD assemblies.Competent in routing and terminating electrical wiring, cabling, pneumatic tubing and conduit.Confident using a wide range of workshop equipment, hand tools and power tools safely.Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills with a practical engineering mindset.High attention to detail and a commitment to producing work to a consistently high standard.Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within assembly and manufacturing processes.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.Flexible approach to work, with willingness to support occasional weekend work (time off in lieu provided).What's On Offer
