The employer specialises in the warehouse automation and material handling industry and is supporting multiple large-scale conveyor installation and warehouse automation projects across the United States. They are recognised for delivering complex conveyor, sortation, and material handling solutions for leading distribution, e-commerce, and parcel handling facilities, offering contractors the opportunity to work on high-profile projects nationwide.


They have an exciting opportunity for experienced Mechanical Installers and Mechanical Technicians to join their Field Operations team. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on installation work, travelling to customer sites, and working on large-scale warehouse automation and conveyor system installations.


This position forms part of the Field Operations team and supports the installation, assembly, and mechanical completion of conveyor and material handling systems at customer sites throughout the United States.


Responsibilities

Install mechanical conveyor and material handling equipment at customer sites.Assemble, align, and mechanically install conveyor systems.Install structural steel, platforms, walkways, guarding, and associated mechanical equipment.Read and interpret mechanical installation drawings, layouts, and bolt schedules.Perform equipment alignment, mechanical adjustments, and final installation checks.Support commissioning teams following mechanical completion.Follow OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and site safety requirements.Work collaboratively with project managers, supervisors, and commissioning teams to meet installation schedules.Travel extensively to project sites throughout the United States.


Requirements

Previous experience installing conveyor systems or material handling equipment.Experience reading mechanical drawings and installation documentation.Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.Experience aligning and adjusting conveyor equipment.Comfortable working at heights when required.Experience working within warehouse automation, parcel handling, manufacturing, or industrial construction projects.OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.Experience following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.Ability and willingness to travel 100% throughout the United States.Legally authorised to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

The Resident Automation Technician II supports our customer on all automation-related topics. This position requires a broad-based electrical and mechanical skillset along with a proactive approach to identifying ways to improve the sites performance through troubleshooting and hands-on repair. Based at our customer site, the Resident Automation Technician II must represent the image and ensure a professional relationship with the client is developed and maintained.

Responsibilities:
Resolve customer equipment issues as quickly and practically as possible.
Complete work assignments and the associated work orders as assigned.
Complete maintenance activities pertaining to the automated equipment on-site, including conveyors, cranes, shuttles, scale checks, and carton-opening systems.
Adhere to the highest quality standards, while always ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
Optimize automation efficiency and performance to ensure delivery of contracted KPIs. Interface with the customer as needed to support operations.
Monitor and maintain the site spare parts inventory.
Collaborate with the broader Lifetime Services team to track, document, and communicate issues and lessons learned.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
High school diploma required. Associate degree or Technical Certificate in Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or related field strongly preferred.
Two (2) to three (3) years of demonstrated experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment in industrial, warehousing/distribution, manufacturing, or related environments.
Familiarity with HMI (human machine interface) and/or SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition interface) experience.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings for use in diagnostics.
Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc).
Ability to travel up to 10%.
Previous experience in electromechanical troubleshooting and repair of material-handling conveyors, AS/RS, and shuttle systems, preferred.
Profibus and Profinet experience preferred.

The employer specialises in the material handling and conveyor systems integration industry and is a rapidly growing business delivering innovative turnkey automation solutions for the retail, e-commerce and distribution sectors. This position is well-suited to a technically driven, people-focused engineering leader who is looking to shape engineering strategy, develop high-performing teams and drive product innovation.

This position is based in the Manufacturing Engineering department and reports to the Director of Manufacturing Engineering. You will lead the Design Engineering team, oversee the delivery of complex conveyor and material handling system designs, and drive engineering excellence through standardisation, continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor and develop a team of Design Engineers and technical staff.
* Oversee the design and development of conveyor systems and material handling equipment from concept through release.
* Review and approve CAD models, engineering drawings and technical documentation.
* Manage engineering resources, project priorities and technical deliverables.
* Drive Design for Manufacture (DFM), product standardisation and cost reduction initiatives.
* Partner with Manufacturing, Project Management, Sales and Installation teams to ensure successful project execution.
* Support new product development, engineering change management and product validation activities.
* Establish engineering standards, improve processes and champion continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
* Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline (Masters preferred).
* 10+ years of progressive engineering experience.
* Previous leadership experience managing engineering teams.
* Strong SolidWorks CAD experience.
* Advanced knowledge of power transmission systems, mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
* Experience with ERP and PLM/PDM systems (SyteLine preferred).
* Conveyor or material handling systems experience is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
