Mechanical Fitter / Assembler Urgently required on a permanent basis for a specialist engineering and manufacturing business, This is a great opportunity to Work for a business with a very strong growth rate and an order book full for the next 2 years! Working on a 4 day late shift of Monday to Wednesday 1.30pm to 11.30pm and Thursday 1.30pm - 11.00pm.

You will have a background of mechanical assembly of a wide range of metal, machined parts and components, whilst working to engineering drawings to assemble to customer specification.

This role will be a mix of flow line and full build dependant on the size and spec of the product, so we are looking for adaptable people who can think on their feet!

Mechanical fitting and assembly of Metal and machined parts and componentsWorking to engineering drawingsWorking with large assemblies, not just smallUsing general Production plant, machinery and hand held equipment, hand tools and assembly equipmentParticipate in the quality control process relevant to the work carried out and ensure all defective work is immediately brought to the attention of the Production Supervisor/sProblem solveCarry out and demonstrate 5S culturePrioritiseMust be able to work under their own initiative

Any of the below would be beneficial, however not compulsory:

machine shop experienceexperience with flame cutting for carbon and stainless steel, CNC cutting, milling and turning machineswelding assembly capabilities, using the latest techniquesQuality control and inspection, including in-house non-destructive testing facilities
