Hours: 9.00am-5.00pm Monday to Friday

Salary: £26,000-30,000 per annum DOE

Start Date: ASAP

Our client is seeking a repair technician who will take responsibility for repairing and diagnostics on a wide variety of portal mobile devices such as handheld scanners, tablets, phones etc

Duties to include:

Bench repair including testing and diagnosticsIntricate assembly and disassembly of productsSoldering and repairing of electronics components

Required Experience:

Some exposure to repair diagnostics based workSoldering and repairing of electronics components

Position: Mechanical Technician
Salary: £35,000 - depending on experience
Location: Essex
Hours: Monday to Thursday 08:00am - 16:00 - Early finish Friday

Proactive are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Technician to begin work for a leading manufacturing and engineering company based in Essex. This is a permanent position and an exciting role working for a market leader within the automated machinery and pharmaceutical industry offering ample opportunity for progression and development.

As a Mechanical Technician the duties can be quite varied, you will be required to assist in the machining, manufacturing and assembly of company enclosures, equipment and machinery. You will need to have keen attention to detail and careful handling of materials.

Some Responsibilities Include:

Preparing production materials, machining and lock assembly.Assembly of frame/enclosures and fitting to machinery lines.Dis-assembly of tested lines and preparation of items ready for transport and assembly at customers sitesSome basic pneumatic assemblyAssembly, support and commissioning work at some customer sites.There may be a small amount of travel to support installation to our worldwide customer base.

Skills/Attributes:

Basic engineering skills including mechanical assembly and machine operation.Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings.Ability to work in a team with attention to detail.Good knowledge of health and safety protocols.Ideally hold an Engineering certification/apprenticeship - Desirable.

Experienced Mechanical Assembly and repair Technicians required for a leading manufacturing business based near Uxbridge. We are looking for experienced operatives ideally with experience of hands on production environments. Working in the assembly of fabricated and pre formed parts. We are looking for experienced assemblers who have a background of working to engineering drawings and build manuals.

Ideally you will have a background of mechanical assembly, repair, service, and maintenance, We are looking for experienced people that have the ability to develop with the product and the production process to help develop further and grow the manufacturing process.

Work to, read and interpret engineering drawingsStrip, service and rebuild mechanical componentsSub assembly build final inspection of finished productsOversee the lines with to monitor quality of the product packaging and packing whilst achieving targets and deadlines.Carry out any other duties as requested by the Line Leader / Shift ManagerUse of basic hand tools
