The company specialises in the automation and industrial systems industry and is recognised for delivering innovative automation solutions and maintaining strong long-term client partnerships. They have an exciting opportunity for an Operational Flow Support Technician to join their team.
Who serves as the primary technical support resource for an automated warehouse operation. This individual is responsible for monitoring and supporting the Warehouse Control System (WCS), coordinating technical issues between operations, maintenance, and remote support teams, and ensuring automated material handling equipment remains operational with minimal downtime.
Responsibilities:
Provide first-level technical support for Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) and related software applications.
Monitor automated warehouse systems and respond to system alerts, faults, and operational issues.
Investigate software errors by reviewing system logs, databases, and diagnostic information.
Coordinate with onsite maintenance, operations, and remote engineering teams to resolve issues quickly.
Document incidents, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions within a ticketing system.
Escalate complex software or infrastructure issues to higher-level support when necessary while managing communication through resolution.
Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements to reduce system downtime.
Support software updates, system enhancements, and change requests.
Develop and maintain technical documentation and work instructions.
Assist in training team members on system functionality and best practices.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate degree or technical certification in Information Technology, Automation, Computer Science, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field preferred.
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or other industrial software applications.
Experience working in an automated warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment.
Background troubleshooting software, automation, or industrial control systems.
Experience supporting databases or performing application support.
Technical Skills:
Knowledge of Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
SQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server)
Software troubleshooting and log file analysis
Root cause analysis and problem-solving
Understanding of software development lifecycle concepts
Industrial automation environments
Technical documentation and work instruction development
Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word)

Industrial warehouse or distribution center environment.
Frequent walking throughout automated facilities.
Occasional climbing, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), and working around moving automation equipment.
Must be comfortable working safely around conveyors, robotics, automated storage systems, and industrial machinery.
