*Oversee project financials including forecasting, budgeting, margin protection, and monthly reporting to senior leadership.
*Act as the primary client escalation point; build trusted executive-level relationships and deliver regular project briefings, including executive summaries and health reports.
*Lead and mentor multidisciplinary project teams and less-experienced project managers; establish clear priorities, resolve conflicts, and promote effective cross-department collaboration.
*Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lessons learned, process standardization, and adoption of best practices across project delivery.
*Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory requirements across project execution and subcontractor activities.


Qualifications / Requirements
*7+ years of progressive project management experience, with demonstrated success leading high-value, complex projects or portfolios.
*Proven experience managing large-scale baggage handling or airport automation projects.
*Strong track record managing subcontractors, consultants, multidisciplinary teams, and complex stakeholder groups in large project environments.
*Demonstrated ability to manage contracts, change control, claims, and commercial risks.
*Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills; comfortable presenting to executive-level audiences.
*Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%, primarily during weekdays.


Preferred
*Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Construction Management, or a related technical field; advanced degree a plus.
*Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, P.E., or LEED accreditation.
*Deep experience with baggage handling systems, airport automation, or integrated control systems.
*Experience working within global organizations and managing cross-border project complexities.

What You'll Be Working On

This role will support the delivery of a next-generation automated air cargo terminal featuring advanced automated storage and retrieval technologies, high-throughput cargo processing systems, automated ULD handling equipment, Elevating Transfer Vehicles (ETVs), integrated controls architecture and sophisticated material handling solutions designed to significantly increase cargo throughput and operational efficiency at San Francisco International Airport.

About the Opportunity

Our client is a market-leading provider of enterprise software solutions that help global organizations optimize warehouse operations, supply chain processes, and logistics execution. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Consultant to lead customer projects, advise clients on operational improvements, and deliver complex software implementation initiatives.

This is a highly visible role that combines consulting, project management, solution design, and leadership responsibilities while working closely with major customers on business-critical transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities


Advise customers on logistics processes, warehouse operations, and software solutions
Design practical logistics concepts and develop functional specifications
Lead medium to large-scale implementation projects from planning through delivery
Manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder expectations
Present project updates and solution concepts to customers and internal stakeholders
Collaborate with software development, product, and implementation teams
Support process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
Mentor and develop junior consultants within the team
Contribute to product enhancement discussions and customer solution strategy
Skills & Experience
Strong experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse management, or related consulting environments
Experience leading customer-facing projects and software implementations
Knowledge of ERP integrations, databases, and SQL
Understanding of warehouse processes, automation, and operational workflows
Ability to translate business requirements into practical solution designs
Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Understanding of software architecture and enterprise systems is advantageous

Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Information Systems, IT, Business, or a related field
5+ years of consulting, implementation, or project management experience
