Position: Quality Inspector

Proactive currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Inspector to begin work for a leading manufacturing and production business based in Luton.
Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Quality Inspector to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the site's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.
For this role you would need security clearance, meaning you'd need to be a UK Citizen or have an EU passport and have worked in the UK for the past 5 years.
The role of the Stores Operative will consist of:
Audit product in accordance with defined build instructions and IPC-A-610 standardsEnsure all deviations from either defined build instruction or IPC-A-610 standards are clearly identified and logged in line with defined procedures
Ensure defined processes are robust, clear & concise and can consistently achieve the required standards
Ensure all processes are stringently adhered to, any gaps or process improvements should be highlighted to your immediate supervision. They will ensure that effective remedial actions are taken in a timely manner including updating supporting documentation in QMS
Compliance with the company Quality Standard and procedures
The Stores Operative should have the following experience:
Understanding Factory Logix (Aegis)Current Certification to IPC-A-610 (desirable)Component Knowledge & IdentificationAble to follow Customer DrawingsESD AwarenessUnderstanding & use of QMS systemAttention to detailCustomer focussedAbility to creatively challenge issuesExcellent communication skills

The Stores Operative should have the following experience:
Degree qualified in applicable subjectExperience in manufacturing test role.Thorough understanding of Digital and Analogue electronics, fault finding to component level and associated test methodologies.Thorough understanding of manufacturing environmentExperience of Microsoft products including Excel & WordExperience of using ERP systems and databasesDemonstrable experience of managing multiple projects

Due to rapid company expansion and an ever growing order book, our client is hoping to recruit at least one additional Quality and Production Assistant to help ensure the quality and accuracy of the factory's function is well maintained throughout this new and excited influx of work.
Overview:
This role will expose the ideal candidate to quality, production, stores and engineering departments.
For quality, the type of work you will be trained in and carry out will include transferring files to their document management system, process reviews and audits, compliance checking, supplier reviews and audits, general quality investigations, investigating non-conformances and returns, raising concessions, monitoring and recording KPI data, managing and updating tasks on their project management software, recording quality data, analysing and creating reports, health and safety activities, continual improvement tasks, authoring procedures and technical documents, development of production build guides, BoM reviews, compiling evidence packs, monitoring COSHH requirements, goods-in quality inspections.
For production, you will assist with the creation of build guides, quality investigations, maintaining cleanliness and foreign object control processes, monitoring adherence to process and capturing KPI data, undertaking audits, helping to improve and maintain standards, developing workmanship standards document, photographing equipment, factory reconfiguration and maintenance, COSHH control, tool management, maintenance of KANBAN bins and systems, carrying out stock checks and maintaining stock records, identifying, archiving infrequently used tools and jigs and a wide range of other activities across each department.
