The Client:
Our client is a subsidiary to an established, trusted parent company ($100m USD t/o) who manufactures and supplies global racking solutions to big brand retailers that are household names in the furniture/ home furnishings and grocery sectors.
Due to strong market demand and growth, they are now looking for a driven and commercially intelligent Sales Director to join their Melbourne office. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the new team member will be fully supported and given autonomy to develop new market strategies to acquire large scale racking and warehouse automation projects to drive greater revenue to the business.
Your Responsibilities:
* Lead the sales team to drive growth in the Australian market, focusing on racking solutions for warehousing and automation sectors.
* Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate new markets and achieve revenue targets.
* Build and maintain relationships with key clients, including major retailers and large automation project
* Manage and mentor a high-performing sales team, ensuring alignment with company goals.
You have:
* Strong leadership skills with experience managing sales teams.
* At least 5 years sales experience in warehousing/racking products, with proven success in new client acquisition.
* Deep understanding of retail/ industrial clients and automation project landscapes
* Target-driven mindset with a track record of exceeding KPIs.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong negotiation skills, experience using a consultative selling approach.
* A strong focus on customer needs, delivery on customer expectations and customer satisfaction will be dominant in this role.
* Highest ethical standards and integrity.
* Current Australian Driver license.
* Solid Microsoft Office ability.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Existing network within major retailers, e.g Coles, Woolworths, or ALDI etc
* Experience in large-scale automation or warehousing projects
* Experience in Material handling DC
