The Role:
We are urgently seeking an experienced Site Manager for a major project at Heathrow Airport.
The successful candidate must have previous airport experience, specifically within baggage handling and conveyor systems. You will be responsible for managing site activities, installation works and site teams within a live airport environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day site activities and installation works.
Oversee baggage handling and conveyor system installation.
Manage site teams, subcontractors and installation contractors.
Coordinate mechanical installation and conveyor works.
Ensure works are completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
Monitor project progress and report on site performance.
Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, clients and subcontractors.
Coordinate works within a live airport environment.
Ensure compliance with airport security, health & safety and site procedures.
Lead site meetings, toolbox talks and progress reviews.
Identify and resolve site issues quickly and effectively.

Essential Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager / Site Supervisor.
Previous airport experience - ESSENTIAL.
Baggage handling systems experience - ESSENTIAL.
Conveyor installation experience - ESSENTIAL.
Experience managing mechanical/conveyor installation teams.
Experience working within a live airport environment.
Strong understanding of site health & safety requirements.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple contractors and site activities.
Valid UK right to work.
Ability to obtain the required Heathrow security clearance.
Desirable
Experience with airport baggage handling systems.
Experience with automated conveyor systems.
Experience on major airport infrastructure projects.
SMSTS or equivalent site management qualification.
CSCS or relevant site certification.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Director, you will be responsible for leading all site-based project activities from mobilization through final handover. About the Role

The successful Site Services Manager will lead facilties and engineering maintenance activities across the site, ensuring maximum plant reliability, reduced downtime, and continuous improvement in OEE performance. You will manage engineering teams within a manufacturing environment and drive best practice maintenance strategies.

Team Managers stepping up into their first Site Services Manager role will also be considered.

Key Requirements

Experience working within manufacturing and site services/ facilties i.e. boilers, HVAC

Proven experience managing engineering teams

Electrical or Mechanical qualification or completed apprenticeship

Key Responsibilities

Deliver and manage the planned preventative maintenance programme

Implement and manage maintenance schedules to ensure optimal plant condition

Maintain and develop planned maintenance systems with budget accountability

Create flexible maintenance plans aligned to production demands

Allocate work to engineering specialists and manage performance feedback

Identify training needs and develop team capability plans

Manage spare parts stock levels to support operational continuity while controlling cost

Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and training requirements

Support Continuous Improvement and Zero Loss initiatives
