The employer specialises in the warehouse automation and advanced robotics industry, delivering innovative automation technologies across logistics and material handling. They are part of an international technology-focused organisation working at the forefront of robotics, AI and end-to-end warehouse automation, with an exciting opportunity for Senior Engineer to join their growing team. This position is well-suited to a self-starting, technically minded and customer-focused person who is looking to play a key role in designing and delivering innovative warehouse automation solutions from initial concept through to implementation and customer support.
Responsibilities:
Lead solution design and proposals for logistics and warehouse automation projects, including demand research, site surveys, data analysis, business scenario analysis and layout design.
Consult with warehouse operators and customers to develop automation concepts that meet or exceed their requirements.
Analyse warehouse data and operations to establish design criteria and identify automation opportunities.
Develop process flow and material flow diagrams, conceptual CAD layouts, drawings and technical documentation.
Support pre-sales activities and prepare accurate technical proposals in collaboration with customers, material handling suppliers and third-party equipment providers.
Act as the local technical point of contact for material handling suppliers and system integrators.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required an engineering degree is highly desirable.
Minimum 5 years' experience in warehouse automation system design, specifically engineering/system design rather than IT or purely mechanical engineering.
Experience with warehouse automation technologies such as ASRS, conveying, robotics and Goods-to-Person (GTP) systems.
Experience with system integration, either as a supplier or end user.
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
CAD drawing and conceptual layout design experience.
Demonstrated experience defining and launching warehouse turnkey solutions.

The Role

Experience designing, estimating or developing automated baggage handling systems.

Proficiency with AutoCAD and engineering design tools.
