Supplier Quality Engineer

Supplier quality Engineer urgently required to work for a world leafing manufacturing organisation based near Uxbridge. We are looking for a experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to manage and monitor the performance of all suppliers into the business. Ensuring they are working to compliance, drawings, product specifications to ensure a clear fit is delivered to all customers.

You will develop and manager supplier performance date including non-conformities, undertake root cause analysis and work on preventative measure with suppliers. Your role is key to business deliverables so ensuring you work closely with suppliers to ensure actions and processes are implemented to stop reoccurring issues and concerns.

Key responsibilities:

Identify gaps and update procedures relating to supplier quality - ensuring all process and procedures reflect good business practice.Work on developing and driving a Right first time quality culture with suppliers.Support and guide implementation of root cause, corrective actions with suppliersWork with customers on training and development of quality cultureSupport and conduct audits on both product and processSupport and develop continuous improvement cultureMonitor and escalate product quality issuesTravel to customer sitesExcel proficiencyUnderstanding of root cause etc.

Must Have experience

Very good understanding of root cause and corrective actions within across the business.Working in quality function within a manufacturing environmentBe data driven with good problem-solving skillsStrong aptitude for motivating others and handles pressure wellPrepared to take ownership of issues

Ideal experiences

Lean, Continuous improvement experience.Auditor qualificationsSupervisory / managerial experience

International Supplier Quality Engineer
(Battery Industry)

Location: Teverola, Italy

Our client is a cell manufacturing company specializing in the production/recycling of lead-acid & lithium batteries for traction, industrial, storage and military applications. They bring to market a product able to guarantee superior performance by adapting to every customers needs, remaining at the forefront within the European Energetic Transition since 1974. Their aim is to refine electric vehicle solutions, lithium-ion/fuel cell manufacturing, and enhancing the circular economy.

Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer for our Quality team located in South Italy with a strong ability to develop and lead supplier quality activities, and ensure outmost quality within our supply chain.

Responsibilities:
-Lead and coordinate supplier quality activities.
-Manage supplier communication for quality activities.
-Ensure supplier quality deliverables during process development, industrialization, launch and production.
-Support definition of Supplier Quality Manual and supplier quality requirements.
-Execute supplier audits and ensure compliance to quality standards, norms and best practices.
-Set up quality monitoring procedures, evaluate supplier quality performance and establish improvement plans.
-Drive analysis and problem-solving activities (e.g. 8D, Six Sigma).
-Lead Supplier Quality improvement plan and ensure continuous improvement in production.
-Monitor Supplier Quality KPIs (e.g. Quality complaints) and lead action plan to meet targets.
-Generate and integrate Lesson learned in new product/process launches.

Requirements:
-Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical engineering.
-Experienced in Supplier Development within the EU internationally for the li-ion battery industry.
-At least 3/6 years of experience in Supplier Quality in mass manufacturing industry.
-Experience in a battery company is a STRONG PLUS.
-Experience in Quality tools (SPC, FMEA, 8D, Six sigma, QRQC) and Quality management systems (ISO 9001) is a MUST.
-Fluency in English (oral and written) is a MUST.
-Fluency in Italian (oral and written) is a STRONG PLUS.
-Ability to work under pressure, with flexibility and to manage tight deadlines.
