Position: Sales Administrator

Location: Meridian Water

Salary: £27,000 - £28,000

Hours: Monday - Friday - 9.00am - 5.00pm

We are currently in search of an experienced Sales Administrator team member to start work immediately in Meridian Water. This is a temp to perm position working within a busy office and reporting to the Sales Director.

Some of the main duties will include:Liaising with customers regarding their product or application requirements and matching them to our range.Provide regular updates to customers in relation to their orderLiaise with Sales team regarding customer accounts and delivery solution.Deal with queries and complaints from customers taking ownership from start to finish.Updating customer databaseFollow up with customers by phone and/or email.Processing & data input of customer orders received via online shop, by email, in person or over the phone.

Required experience and qualities:

Eye for detail and be extremely accurate.Strong communication skills both verbally and written as you will be liaising with a wide range of people from customers to suppliers.Previous experience within materials handling, storage equipment or other similar technical industries preferableKnowledge of Sage Software useful, but not essential.We would expect the successful candidate to have a desire to understand the full product range. They must be able to absorb and retain this information and be able to provide advice to customers.Excellent organisational skills.You must be a self-starter, assertive and proactive.Excellent level of written and spoken English required.

EDUCATION:

Above average levels of numeracy, literacy and IT skills are expected. Ideally candidates will possess a

degree in Electronics or Mechatronics Engineering. Strong ERP skills. Relationships will be developed via

telephone, email and occasionally, face-to-face. Therefore good presentation and communication skills

are vital. English should be both spoken and written well.

DIMENSIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a multi faceted role where although Account/ relationship manager in title is essentially a senior buyer role where you will be key to Building and developing relationships with key suppliers and work on ways to improve their on-time-delivery whilst reducing their lead-times and quality non-conformances. Manage the supplier base and ensure the business is being supported and getting the best deals possible in all areas, be it parts, rates, shipping etc.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries regarding product servicing, calibration, and repairs. Process service requests & queries, quotations, and customer orders efficientlyMaintain accurate records of customer interactions, job progress, and completion.Coordinate with technicians and Exports to ensure timely processing and dispatch of customer orders.Handle warranty claims and service-related complaints professionally, ensuring prompt resolution.Provide administrative support for invoicing, payments, and service documentation.Assist senior managers in managing the workflow and ensuring compliance with UKAS and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements.Support the Maintenance of calibration and service records.Support the preparation and review of quality management system (QMS) documents relating to customer relations.Work the with management on equipment tracking, scheduling calibrations, contract reviews, and ensuring smooth laboratory operations.Support training activities and process improvements within the lab.

Desirable:

Experience in working with Quality Management Systems (ISO 17025 or similar).Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP systems.A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a strong customer-focused approach.
