Role: Robotics Assembly Technician

Salary: £50,000
Proactive are currently in search of an experienced Robotics Assembly Technician on a permanent basis to start work for a market leading robotics company in Stratford.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding engineering business where you will play an important role in the assembly, testing and installation of sophisticated electro-mechanical equipment. Working alongside experienced Engineers, Technicians and Project Managers, you will contribute to both product builds and continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out electrical assembly, wiring and functional testing of products in the workshop and at customer sites.Assemble, test and install complex electro-mechanical systems to engineering specifications.Build, inspect and test mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies used across multiple product lines.Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards whilst maintaining full component traceability.Diagnose and resolve assembly, wiring and mechanical issues to minimise production delays.Provide feedback to Engineering and Production teams to support continuous improvement of products and manufacturing processes.Work closely with Engineers, Technicians and Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on schedule.Maintain a safe, organised and efficient working environment.Skills & Experience
Minimum of 4 years' experience in a hands-on technician or assembly role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.Strong experience with power and control panel wiring.Ability to read, understand and interpret electrical schematics and identify any discrepancies.Experience interpreting engineering documentation including assembly instructions, technical drawings and 3D CAD assemblies.Competent in routing and terminating electrical wiring, cabling, pneumatic tubing and conduit.Confident using a wide range of workshop equipment, hand tools and power tools safely.Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills with a practical engineering mindset.High attention to detail and a commitment to producing work to a consistently high standard.Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within assembly and manufacturing processes.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.Flexible approach to work, with willingness to support occasional weekend work (time off in lieu provided).What's On Offer

We're looking for an experienced OT Engineer with a strong understanding of Information Security to support cybersecurity initiatives across automated logistics facilities in Europe.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, maintain and secure OT environments, including ICS, SCADA and PLC systems.Support vulnerability management, patching and OT asset lifecycle activities.Implement network segmentation, secure remote access and OT security best practices.Conduct OT risk assessments and support incident response activities.Work closely with engineering, IT and cybersecurity teams to improve the security of industrial systems.RequirementsExperience with OT/ICS environments and industrial automation.Good knowledge of OT cybersecurity, vulnerability management and network security.Familiarity with standards such as IEC 62443 is desirable.Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills.Fluent English and willingness to travel across Europe.

We are working with a highly respected client on a brand new Site and fast-growing engineering business based in the Cheltenham area, known for its exceptional standards, supportive culture, and strong investment in training and development. Due to continued expansion and ongoing success, they are now looking to strengthen their flight assembly team with an experienced Soldering Technician.

The Role
You will be responsible for building high-reliability flight hardware to strict ESA and IPC standards. This is a hands-on, precision-based role within a cleanroom and controlled manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Building flight hardware to ESA and IPC standards
* PCB assembly (PCA), module builds, and harness assembly work
* Working from detailed build instructions, engineering drawings, and documentation
* Assembling in-house cable assemblies, test jigs, and test boxes
* Supporting manufacturing activities within a cleanroom environment
* Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* ESA or IPC certification (essential)
* Strong soldering and wiring experience
* Background in manufacturing, production, or assembly environments
* Cleanroom experience (advantageous but not essential)
* Good understanding of workplace health & safety
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Confidence working with drawings and technical instructions
* Good IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
* A proactive, self-motivated attitude with strong attention to detail
You'll be someone who takes pride in your work, enjoys hands-on technical tasks, and is keen to develop within a high-spec engineering environment.
