Role: Robotics Assembly Technician
Location: Stratford
Salary: £50,000
Proactive are currently in search of an experienced Robotics Assembly Technician on a permanent basis to start work for a market leading robotics company in Stratford.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding engineering business where you will play an important role in the assembly, testing and installation of sophisticated electro-mechanical equipment. Working alongside experienced Engineers, Technicians and Project Managers, you will contribute to both product builds and continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical assembly, wiring and functional testing of products in the workshop and at customer sites.
- Assemble, test and install complex electro-mechanical systems to engineering specifications.
- Build, inspect and test mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies used across multiple product lines.
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality standards whilst maintaining full component traceability.
- Diagnose and resolve assembly, wiring and mechanical issues to minimise production delays.
- Provide feedback to Engineering and Production teams to support continuous improvement of products and manufacturing processes.
- Work closely with Engineers, Technicians and Project Managers to ensure projects are delivered on schedule.
- Maintain a safe, organised and efficient working environment.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in a hands-on technician or assembly role within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience with power and control panel wiring.
- Ability to read, understand and interpret electrical schematics and identify any discrepancies.
- Experience interpreting engineering documentation including assembly instructions, technical drawings and 3D CAD assemblies.
- Competent in routing and terminating electrical wiring, cabling, pneumatic tubing and conduit.
- Confident using a wide range of workshop equipment, hand tools and power tools safely.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills with a practical engineering mindset.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to producing work to a consistently high standard.
- Proactive approach to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement within assembly and manufacturing processes.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Flexible approach to work, with willingness to support occasional weekend work (time off in lieu provided).
