We are currently recruiting for a Welder to join a busy manufacturing facility in Bedford on an ongoing contract.
This is a hands-on, maintenance-focused role rather than a traditional fabrication position. You will be responsible for carrying out repairs, modifications and fabrication work around the site, helping to keep equipment, machinery and site infrastructure operating safely and effectively.
The Role
As a Felder, you will be involved in:
Carrying out TIG welding and some fabrication repairs around the manufacturing siteRepairing and modifying existing machinery, equipment and structuresCarrying out preventative and reactive maintenance-related workTIG welding to a high standardWorking alongside the engineering and maintenance teamsEnsuring all work is completed safely and to a good standardAbout You
We are looking for an experienced Welder with strong TIG welding experience who is comfortable working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
You should have:
Previous experience as a WelderStrong TIG welding and fabrication skillsExperience repairing or modifying existing equipment, machinery or structuresGood practical problem-solving skillsThe ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance teamExperience within manufacturing, engineering, production or another industrial environment would be advantageousThis would suit a TIG Welder who enjoys a varied maintenance environment and is looking for a long-term contract rather than short-term fabrication projects.
