The RoleWe are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Team Leader / Supervisor to take ownership of a busy warehouse operation in Milton Keynes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys leading a small team while remaining actively involved in the day-to-day operation..
The successful candidate will lead by example, creating an organised, efficient and safe working environment while empowering the team to work independently. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will ensure goods are received accurately and customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched efficiently, accurately and on time.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead, motivate and support a small warehouse team in a hands-on operational environment.Oversee all aspects of goods-in, stock control, order fulfilment and dispatch.Support picking, packing and dispatch activities during busy periods, staff holidays and periods of absence.Maintain an efficient warehouse layout, stock locations and FIFO (First In, First Out) processes.Monitor warehouse performance and maintain consistently high standards of quality, accuracy and productivity.Train and develop team members, ensuring company procedures and Health & Safety standards are followed.Conduct and support relevant risk assessments and maintain a safe working environment.Manage warehouse equipment, consumables and general site upkeep.Coordinate with office-based teams to ensure excellent customer service and efficient courier and delivery operations.Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, efficiency and overall operational performance.Take a proactive approach to resolving day-to-day operational issues.About YouWe are looking for someone who is:
An experienced Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader or Senior Warehouse Operative.Organised, practical and comfortable working in a physically active, hands-on environment.A confident people manager who leads by example and is willing to get involved operationally.Computer literate, with good experience of stock management systems and warehouse administration.A strong communicator who can work effectively with colleagues across different departments.Experienced in operating forklift trucks, with Reach and Counterbalance experience preferred. Training can be provided where required.Proactive, dependable and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety and efficiency.Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the warehouse operation.Working HoursMonday to Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm
