Job Title: Assembly Operative
Location: Milton Keynes
Hourly Rate: Up to £13.50

Summary: The Fabrication Operative is responsible for assembling metal products according to technical drawings and specifications. This role involves accurate measuring and converting measurements, working with tools to cut and assemble metal parts, ensuring quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret technical drawings
• Convert measurements (MM, CM, M)
• Assemble parts into finished products
• Operate industrial cutting equipment
• Inspect components and assemblies for quality
• Clean tools and maintain a tidy workshop
• Identify and report defects or discrepancies
• Pack and load assembled products
• Ensure stock is correctly located
• Work within tight timescales and deadlines
• Occasionally support warehouse duties (goods-in, picking, stock checks)
• Maintain high health & safety standards
• Complete required documentation and reports promptly

• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Good metric and numerical skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift and carry heavy materials
